Don't they ever learn.
They just needed to look at Villa who spent nothing before going down.
They should have bought Deeney.
The 18 or so million will look like peanuts when they are in the Championship.
You have to spend to stay up.
Stupid Brunts.

Re: WBA's demise
It’ll be made worse for them by being replaced by Villa and Wolves.
A funny thing about the Albion is that I always sense that they hate Wolves as a matter of duty built on tradition. But they really really hate The Villa as a matter of choice. I guess it is geography. They are only 4 miles from Villa but nearly 10 from Wolves.
I suppose the traditional rivalry with Wolves is built on them both pretending to be from the Black Country when in fact neither are.

Its easy to say now but they made the wrong decisions in the summer. Should have taken a big bid for Johnny Evans and rebuilt their ageing squad with better quality than Robson-Kanu.

Re: WBA's demise
I'm beginning to think either Deeney and/or the sell-on clause is part of the reason he's never moved on.
I read that Newcastle had a bid accepted for him then he turned them down because the board werent willing to guarantee Benitez's future, then with the WBA deal, I read that they bid for him (what they thought was a decent offer that would get accepted) on the Friday, then heard nothing by Sunday night, then on the Monday they switched targets to Sturridge and duly signed him.
