While we're on about local cities, I see Coventry has been named as UK City of Culture. I'm reminded of Tom Lehrer giving up satire when he heard Henry Kissinger had been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

I heard about it when somebody sent me the express and star link. As I opened it up I thought "please don't let it be about somebody from Walsall". Thankfully it wasn't although the northern gits I work with seem to think Walsall and Wolverhampton are the same place. :D
