Whats your favourite cover versions.

Mine is Spanky Wilson's "Sunshine of your love". Even Eric Clapton would have to admit this blows him and his cronies version completely out of the water.

I would say, off the top of my head, this version of the Nine Inch Nails song "Hurt" by Johnny Cash.

Very moving.

If you're going to do a cover, you've got to take the original and do something a little different and a little special with it. This is genius - an 80s throwaway pop hit by Bananarama turned into something else;

Surely this has to be the best ... 20 years after the original appeared in a film.

Cash was the absolute master of reworking a well established song, in his latter years. His versions of Rusty Cage and The Mercy Seat are king-sized.
