Having been appointed in December but only winning 3 of his 16 games in charge, Russell Slade has been shown the door at Coventry City. They are currently 13 points from League One safety, and a new manager will have to lead them out in their Wembley appearance against Oxford United.
Couldn't happen to a nicer club.

Shame for such a massive club, beloved of so many fantastic, unassuming, millions in Warwickshire. One can only feel sorry for those modest, understated supporters.

Mr.Slade has had the push three times in the last eleven months. Even in this day and age , that takes some doing.

How many do you reckon will Walsall take to Ricoh in April, 1.5-2k optimistic?
Even if there's nothing to play for (and I still reckon there's a decent chance of top 6) that's the ultimate p*ss take surely given their tricks of avoiding rent over the last couple of seasons.

Re: Taxi for Mr. Slade
Slade is fast becoming the new Sean O'Driscoll. The name still holds considerable weight based on some sterling achievements several years ago, but with each passing appointment, his stock is dropping, and those successes look more and more like right club/right time, lightning-in-a-bottle.
