Re: Football vs Rugby
So much for respect and sportsmanship in rugby.
The cheating Italians took advantage of the fact that the England players , and our fine , proud to be English manager ,didn't know the rules , laws , nuances and tactics of the game.
Us , England , blighty.............................from where this beautiful game originated.
Now we've got to change the rules / laws .........again.
Such cowardice should not be tolerated , and we're better off without them ,
And all this after we let Ranieri win in that other sport they'm no good at.

Re: Football vs Rugby
Rugby, and everything that surrounds it, is just the worst.
I don't think I've ever heard a Rugby 'fan' say something positive about their sport without trying to paint football in a negative light.
Just a few things that get spouted about Rugby that annoy me.
"The fans can sit together without segregation."
Why on earth would you want to sit with opposing fans? There's something special about celebrating a 90th minute winner with hundreds of your own at an away game. Don't get that in rugby now do you...
"The players respect the ref"
For some reason in rugby it's accpetable to punch each other in the face but don't you dare call the ref anyhting but 'sir'. Oh no, automatic sin bin for you, but feel free to have a fight as you leave the pitch, that's all good. They literally look down on footballers for having a go at referees but don't seem to care when punches, eye-gouges and stamps are flying around in their own sport.
"There's more skill in rugby than football."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. It's just an organised fight. And they can't even play for 90 minutes.

Sunday sums up what I was saying earlier in the thread, rugby union players, but especially English ones, are by and large a dim bunch.
James Haskell especially please take the dunces cap and sit in the corner. You are not a centre, you are (supposed to be) an open side flanker. I wonder he can work out which shoe to put on which foot each morning.

Unlikely, as virtually all are either privately educated and/or attended grammar schools where the level of education is far higher than your run of the mill comp. or college.
Haskell was educated at at Papplewick School and Wellington College.

Afraid not. To get into virtually all grammar schools you need to pass an 11+ which is defined as a test of intelligence. So, we can see that he passed this test and was then educated to a high standard which leads me to think he is likely not 'dim'.
What reasoning can you show that he is 'dim'?

Plenty of dimbos find their way into grammar schools by virtue of private tuition and other advantages. Also the exam at that age hardly determines intellect at adulthood.

1) Haskell didn't go to Grammar school (Not that it is necessarily indicative anyway. I know a fair few who went to QM who had failed the 11+ and other people who didn't go and were clever)
2) He doesn't understand the laws of a sport he has played for his entire life. Over a decade of that as a professional.

He went to Wellington College which requires an entrance exam which would be along the lines of the grammar school 11+.
Neither did most of the commentators and ex-players in the studio know the exact laws with regards to Italy's play. It doesn't make them dim either.
If this is your barometer for dimness then I'd seriously question your intelligence.

I agree but there's been no evidence provided that Haskell is lacking in the brain department.
Lot's of things can happen, for instance, a very small minority of people begin to tell lies and stories and actually believe them to be true. This is more of a mental illness as opposed to a lack of intelligence. Thankfully a chemical imbalance can be somewhat controlled with drugs from a GP.

Can they also assist with repetitive obsessive and compulsive behavioural issues?

You are very naïve about entrance exams. I wonder why a very good rugby player might get into a private school that has a "national reputation for Rugby"?
Well I don't know about the commentators 'cos I was at the game. But within 5 minutes it was pretty clear that the referee was allowing them to do it, so England should have adapted. I said to the guy I was with that Haskell was playing in the centre when he should have been first to the breakdown and driving through the Italian defenders, creating a maul, which would have bought offside back into play. You can believe me or not, I don't give a toss.

Unfortunately, the lies, stories and wild fantasies where the victim can't even remember what they said tend to be 'repetitive obsessive and compulsive'. :(
I'd imagine these people are treated with some form of antipsychotic medications.

What else can you say that leads you to think he's thick? Let's hope it better than what you've written above.

Interesting. I wonder what happens when they forget to take their medication, or perhaps self-medicate with large doses of cannabinoid compounds.
I suspect paranoia, intense feelings of insecurity and compulsive passive aggressive issues.

I imagine they don't realise and just carry on with their fantasies and lies. Cannabinoids can be a problem for some. Mental illness can also be the result of syphilis where some individuals lacking in confidence regularly engage in unprotected sex with prostitutes thus catching the disease which leads to brain rot. Very sad indeed.
