Can't see Thatcher, Churchill or even Cameron bottling debates like she has, U-turning like she has and generally being flimsy. Can't see her performing better than Corbyn on Brexit. Soundbites won't cut it there.

Remember, May has positioned this as a straight beauty contest between her and Corbyn.
Her mistake, on reflection.

Just finished watching tonight's question and answer on i player. Corbyn came over as a complete dimwit and broke the record for the number of sound bites used in every evasive answer, Obviously some serious coaching had taken place, waving his 'wonderful and fully costed manifesto' He is probably the worst potential leader I have ever witnessed, like some grotesque child catcher handing out sweeties as bribes to the naïve and stupid. [I've been studying Saigon's descriptive style  ]
Looking forward to the election :D

Bet May's not.

Not much like the effortless coronation from a mollified electorate she expected, what was she 27 points ahead?

Just seen Boris making his first play for the leadership, as someone astutely remarked.

Interesting reading. Here's the labour summary:-

Labour by contrast is proposing very big increases in tax, a bigger increase in spending and, as a result, borrowing continuing around its current share of national income. They would increase spending to its highest sustained level in more than 30 years and taxes to their highest ever peacetime level. Even so the state under Labour would be no bigger than that in many advanced economies. However, their proposed plan for paying for this expansion in state activity would not work. They would not raise as much money as they claim even in the short run, let alone the long run. And there is no way that tens of billions of pounds of tax rises would affect only a small group at the very top as their rhetoric suggests. If they want the advantages of a bigger state they should be willing to candidly set out the consequences – higher taxation affecting broad segments of the population.
These are among the main conclusions of analysis by IFS researchers, funded by the Nuffield[/quote

The last line says it all

They should be willing to candidly set out the consequences

HIGHER TAXATION AFFECTING BROAD SEGMENTS OF THE POPULATION

Corbyn is telling lies - which doesn't surprise me - the Robin Hood act is a con

I agree with the slogan doing the rounds

CON the many not the few

Don't be conned there is not a worse feeling

This is quite catchy.

Woke this am shaking in fear, that feeling you would get pithing your pants when you see 'the' mushroom cloud in the distance, trepidation beyond belief, nobody 'really' expected a Brexit vote, no one actually expected it, but we may actually see Corky Clown Corbyn in charge of the country after the election, dread, loathing, fear, the 'we want more money' masses may get 3/6d extra in their pockets for 6 months, no jobs left after 12 months, mass unemployment, mass immigration, tea & crumpet 'talks' with ISIS, Great Britain in debt to the third world countries that we have given aid too for all these years, that feeling you get when Walsall actually win a match...this can't be happening!!
Europe would be doubled up laughing, just think of the scenario..Corbyn & Trump in charge of two of what used to be the most powerful Western nations on earth. :(
New Zealand & Australia would take years sifting through the mountains of migration requests from Britain.

Please, folk of Britain, wake up, smell the coffee before you put your big X against a red candidate.

That was a party political broadcast on behalf of the monster raving loony party!

again in your opinion. She is the one who has actually done the job and no one was looking to remove her and she has dealt with questions - actual experience
1) true
2) I have watched her and I disagree it is easy to protest wait until Corbyn has to defend. I am not sure the polls would have been so decisive if she had been as poor as you say
3) There is absolutely nothing wrong with being pig headed and stubborn as she is going to need it to deal with the Europeans.

Mrs cowshed is the same - thank god- she runs the house the businesses and me and my son and does a fine job I value it.

Women in power is not a threat ped -it brings balance on a global level for example at world summit meetings and that is important in my opinion.

May has again been there done that - experience - didn't see her bottle it- she was shunned by the Europeans completely ignored bless her- did she let it stop her absolutely not-

I seriously cannot believe there would be any form of social injustice that would allow my cross on the ballot paper pave the way for abbot or sturgeon to run my life but there are people who are preparing to do this. In saying that the positive for me is the equality balance this would provide.

4) it terms of having an original thought in her head- compared to whom

Abbot the improv queen

Sturgeon the independent robot

Corbyn who has been going on about the same things for 40 years

Friends with Hamas and the Ira

Vice chairman of CND

Uncontrolled immigration

Voting down security measures

It is easy to talk in depth about his specialist subjects and yet when he is asked about his new election bribes such as childcare he actually as no thought in his head let alone original ones

Does it really matter where the source is from ? Or does it have to come from the Guardian for you to believe it ?
You have no reply to deny the story, just an attempt of belittling it.

There's an air of try-hard desperation about her that's almost appealing. It's like she's been thrust into the limelight and isn't quite sure what to do with herself, and Paris Syndrome has kicked in. You know she's useless and hope something can be done to put her out of her inept misery.

Then there's Diane Abbott...

I'm genuinely disappointed for you, who is actually running the Labour Party? With the advent of Momentum it would appear that the hard left, Marxist/Trotskyist factions now appear to control not only the ideological direction of your party but who will be allowed to progress through the ranks.
It is remarkable that despite the 'poor quality' [and I am being generous] of the leading members of the Labour party that their public showing and campaign would appear to be well received by the electorate. Perhaps one of the major reasons is the terrible campaign being run by the Conservatives and the influential campaign manager Lynton Crosby.
ps. I've just watched the News Night piece from Walsall, very damning comments about the Conservative campaign.............fudge useless

The problem is that none of the political parties in the UK are presenting an attractive choice for the voter.
The rationale then shifts to who do I dislike the least. Who do I think will do the least damage.
When I look at the labour party. I see a leader who will never use the nuclear deterrent. Once that happens it ceases to be a deterrent.
A former head of the UK armed forces once asked if he ever thought we would need to use the deterrent said "We use it everyday. That's why it's a deterrent."
The tories have been pilloried for the dementia tax. The current situation is that you are liable for your care home costs if you have assets greater than £23,500. They propose to increase that amount to £100,000. This has been greatly misrepresented.
