M K Dons (H) Sunday 30 Apr, 12 noon
Last game of the season ... both teams with nothing significant to play for ... level on 58 points apiece. Roll on 2017/18 :!:

Professionally succinct Welsh - sometimes less is more
Would like to say a big thanks to you for all your insightful pre match content this season - very useful and entertaining at the same time.. cheers..
Either a barnstorming 6-0 or another drab 90 minutes of nothingness!!
I'll go for 1-1 with Preston heading a screamer in from 12 yards out

Best preview of a game this season!
As for prediction Craig MacGillivray to drop his ice cream, Simeon Jackson to be mentored by Andreas Makris on a trip to Cyprus and finally Jon Whitney to win £1.74 on the 2p machine in Borth sea front arcade but the FA find out and ban him for 6 months for gambling (less than Joey Barton as he keeps saying #believe and the disciplinary panel end up repealing the ban and sign for us as our new midfield).

Hard to think just over a year ago we were going in our 1000's to lovely Burslem hoping for an Automatic Promotion place by the time the sun had set :|

I won't!!!
Duke's match previews were far superior.
And Geordiesaddlers away day pub guides beat both of them.
Only joking, well done Welshie :D

Would quite like a 4-0 win in this one so our final league record reads P46 W15 D16 L15 GF54 GA54 - a perfectly average record for a perfectly average team. Roll on 2017/18 when the hope can tear us apart once more.

JW decides to field the under 14's squad, "they needed some pro football to toughen 'em up" says JW.
MK Dongs run up a post war record score of 17-0 prior to all collapsing with exhaustion and declaring.
So called 'supporters', who, the happy clappers announce, "should put up with it because our youngsters need the experience" clamour at the ticket office for a refund, only to find the staff have gone on their holidays, all that is available are a slips of paper that read....."caveat emptor" (let the buyer beware)
Mr Bonser, relaxing at a villa, 'somewhere in Europe' gives only a written response "just direct your questions to Mr Gamble"

1-0 Walsall.
Makris to walk the ball into the net as Paul Downing backs off far enough that he ends up at the back of the tile choice.

AM makes a bigger deal out of it than it actually is considering this is basically a glorified friendly that means nothing.

Wouldn't it be lovely to witness a highly entertaining 4-4 draw with flowing end to end football and total commitment from both sides.
Another crap 1-0 defeat it is then, with neither team of so-called professional footballers remotely interested.

Its not a glorified friendly its a competitive league one fixture that I have paid to watch. Jon can play his youth and if defeated avoid criticism.
Have Sheffield Utd been playing their youth since winning the league.

Cheers WS always enjoy reading the pre game review. Will be taking both my youngest kids today , the youngest has seen 4 this season and we won every one so here's hoping....
I'm fairly satisfied with how the season panned out after last year's clear out. JW seems to be looking to the future which is good but I expect another clear out with us losing at least 3 of our best players as usual.
As for today fudge it 4-0 The Turkish Messi with a hatrick before he's sold and Etheridge with a header from a 91st minute corner
See you all there and bring on another 12th place in 17/18

Does a top half finish mean that we are one on the seeded teams in the first round of the League Cup next season? Probably won't make much difference anyway as we always seem to get knocked out by supposedly weaker opposition when we get a winnable cup draw.

6-5 to the Saddlers. Makris hat-trick & 2 own-goals
Looking forward to the close season, the transfer rumours, the "all quiet at the Banks's" section of the E&S & the day/night test match at Edgbaston!

Approaching kick-off, and the betting exchanges have the Dons as very clear favourites for this one (2.3), Walsall are 3.1 and the draw is the outsider at 3.75
I might be tempted to back us, specially as Oztumer will be there from the start..... :?

Oh Jesus Christ not this again. You almost (almost) had a point against Port Vale when crying about spending your hard earned money for a football match. If you expected anything more from this fixture though you are completely and utterly delusional. You knew what the case would be. If you paid money for it thats on you.
I don't know have they? Do they have any loanees in their squad that won't be there next season? Will they have an exodus of leavers in the summer? What does it matter anyway?

BBC: 'Walsall do not look capable of scoring goals'
We have not been set up to score goals for most of the season.

Methinks those daft enough to spend their money today, will NOT be happy bunnies at the end of this tired and dismal end to this appalling season of dire rubbish.
According to the stats it looks like the Dongs are having a practice match with LOTS of shooting practice, my god, this is such an embarrassment...............and, ElNombre I couldn't care less if it is a dead rubber 'non' match, it's still an insult to the beloved shirt.

Judging by the first half today, we're not exactly set up to defend either :?

Completely clueless!
Roberts is having a mare.
There doesn't appear to be any plan whatsoever.
No movement. Nothing.
MK just taking potshots at any opportunity as we don't want to tackle and just back off.
Chants of Whitney out as soon as we went 0-2 down.

JW might as well bring on a couple of substitutes......nothing (literally) to lose at this stage!!! Cuvelier and Morris, perhaps? Or even a triple substitution with Bakayoko added to the mix......
(Edit ... Walsall substitutions to start the 2nd half ........... Cuvelier on for Candlin, and Morris on for Roberts)
