Re: Chesterfield (H) Tuesday Mar 7th, 7.45pm
As things stand we're 9th in the League One table, 6 points off the play-offs and 16 points above the dodgy zone.......
Sheffield Utd and Scunthorpe Utd still losing (EDIT - Blades have equalised at Oxford, moving us up to 8th place I think!!)
Our first substitution, on 57 minutes ....... Bakayoko on for Jackson

Compared to Chesterfield's 2 shots with 1 on target. That kind of superiority should result in more than a slender one goal lead, shouldn't it? :?

Be happier if we were to see Ipswich winning!!!
With the Scunthorpe demise, it's looking quite likely that Fleetwood are looking good for an auto promotion spot, can't imagine Fleetwood playing in the Championship, it's like imagining Bournemouth being in the Premiershite! Oh hang on...................................................

Whitney genuinely has me believing- something I never imagined earlier in the season.
Have to give him props!!
Bravo Mr Whitters. Not attractive (as last seasons style of play) by any stretch, but what a turnaround, a team that knows how to grind out games and difficult to play against!

Still finding it hard to get the ball in the net, which is why we'll not trouble the playoffs this season.

What were we all saying in January about the need for a striker if a play off spot was the target????????.............Back to this evening.............1-0 is VERY squeaky bum time, it only takes a second to score a goal............................

81 minutes, and the first yellow card goes to Chesterfield
Meanwhile Tom Bradshaw scores for Barnsley, who are still 2-1 down at QPR

Another 6 minute cameo for our record signing, I bet he's so chuffed to be given such a regular spot.

Chesterfield on the attack....pleeease don't let 'em score, it's so good seeing us in 8th spot.....

Horah! Nosebleed time....but that poor goal difference may be our downfall...perhaps we might have considered a striker? Or am I just being foolhardy.
A win is a win, but it shouldn't have been as difficult as we seem to have made it perhaps?

Didn't Chesterfield take nearly a thousand to Bescot the other season?
I remember a debate on here about what brilliant support they had compared to Walsall.
Anyway another great win at home...let's say Walsall continue rolling at home and win the last 5....that's 67 points right there and surely Coventry away is a banker 3 points so that would be 70.
Just throwing it out there.

A relief to get 3 points against a team second from the bottom. Should`nt feel like this!

20 shots, 9 on target = 1 goal (by a defender). Maybe we do need AM's mythical striker...
Still, a win is a win is a win. :D :D :D

Shooting practice at training perhaps? Nah, we don't need that, like we didn't need a striker...........................

Chesterfield drew 0-0 away to FA Cup quarter finalists Millwall 3 weeks ago.
There are no easy games at this stage of the season.....apart from Coventry. :D

Re: Chesterfield (H) Tuesday Mar 7th, 7.45pm
& Charlton score in the last minute.. not sure that does us any favours going in to the game Saturday but we have to keep going. Its a shame tonight was not more convincing but we did what we have failed to do many times in the past and ground out the three points - something we were all screaming for at times last season.
