Bishops on, now watch 'em get a winning goal against the run of play!!
Note that Rochdale providing stiffer defensive resilience than our lot did on Saturday!
And there is no stopping Fleetwood at present, now 2-1 up against Bratfud! Would seem strange to see them in the Championship whilst Blackpool waste away in the 4th Division!
Spoke too soon they appear to be all over us like a rash in the closing minutes, bugga! All that pressure we have shown throughout the game, would be very unfair if they did get a winner!

0-0 at full time ..... a result I'd certainly have taken a couple of hours ago.
AFC Wimbledon got a very very late equaliser at home to Coventry City - 1-1 as I type
And Chesterfield did the same trick at Gillingham

Decent point.
Stats suggest it was our game to win. Comments from those there will be good to read.

I'm happy with a point at their place but a lack of a threat up front is costing us dear...
No in form strikers in the team and Makris not getting a fair throw of things for some reason - if only we had a natural goalscorer we'd be in the mix in what is a generally poor division this season... opportunity missed is an understatement I reckon.. UTS

The play offs may still be on but one small crumb of comfort (or 2) if we are in this league come next season - we could be joined by the Dingles and the Vile

You just don't get it do you AM
My glass is half full and your glass is always half empty. We came away tonight after a good performance although unlucky not to have won and I was hoping for the best before the game and you were expecting the worst right up until the end.
I know 'Optimistic' is not your favourite name, we could always change them next year. I could be 'Winner' and you could be 'Loser' :D

Interesting that their goalie was MOM. Flo's injury looks like a calf strain according to JW on WM....he thinks about 3 weeks out.

Re: Scunthorpe United (A) Feb 14th 7.45pm
A good point away tonight, but will mean little if we don't follow it with a win at home on Saturday.
The Posh came back from a goal down against Shrewsbury tonight, but we've a very good recent record against them.
Shame for Flo to get a knock, but I'm looking forward to a potential 90 minutes of Morris & Otzumer one, twos this weekend.
As an aside Scunny travel to Sheffield Utd this weekend, with Bolton & Fleetwood breathing down their neck, have they got a touch of the Gillingham's?

Say what you like about Whitney but the team always produces for him after a heavy defeat.
A very good point which should've been 3.
Beat Posh on Saturday and it's been a good week.

Re: Scunthorpe United (A) Feb 14th 7.45pm
Complete transformation in the 2nd half. A really enjoyable 45 minutes
We were positive and were very unlucky not to score. Their goalie deserved man of the match because he pulled off some excellent saves especially the one he tipped onto the bar. We look so different when we are not just trying to contain things.
If only we had a decent striker. Bakayoko did nothing when he came on. Jackson had one decent turn & shot.
Thought Morris had a good game when he came on for Flo.
Is there a goalkeeper whose kicking is more woeful than Etheridge?
A good point though.

Thought I'd catch some highlights on Sky Sports News - however they showed the highlights from the Scunny v Shrews game instead but still claimed Walsall were playing! Jokers!!!

Happy with a point.
Hard place to go. Shithole anyway.
Done the deed with a bird from Scunthorpe, but that is another tale.
Well done lads.

Oh please dont allow me to prevent the Whitney love-in now you have won a few games
Funnily enough heard Radio WM Reporters knocking your fans tonight saying from everyone else's opinion Whitney has been doing a great job all season and earlier criticism was 'completely OTT and unjust' especially considering the injuries.
Before you knock us remember you are no better. No better at all  At least WM aren't knocking our impatience, oh sorry I forgot you all love supporting your family club regardless  keep telling yourselves that while knocking others

I said at the time that not signing a striker in January would cost us a place in the playoffs. The defence and Midfield is solid enough to be competitive week in week out.
Either way good point UTS

Such a shame our squad got decimated to such a degree last summer - this league is piss poor this year, and even with a manager like Whitney and a strike force as prolific as Carlos Carneiro, we're still in with a shout.

It's such a shame super Tom left us and has not been replaced with a striker of note.
If we could have nicked a goal and turned the Millwall, Bury and Scunthorpe games into wins we would have been on the cusp of the play offs.

You are most definitely NOT alone, just look at the vast array of posts above, all saying the same thing.
Biggest mistake of the season not taking a chance on a striker from somewhere, anywhere, we would have been IN the play off's by now. What do we do? Take on another defender/midfielder.......is there ANYONE in the management team at Walsall F.C. that realises that without a striker we'll get nowt? Look at last night, we were so much in charge it was almost an embarrassment, yet we are unable to stick the ball in the net....another stumble, another hurdle knocked over, and thus baring our way to our quest for a play off place, shame.
