Most of us didn't expect anything less, just a matter of time? Lets hope we keep 'em out long enough to infuriate them into making a mistake out of frustration to initiate that 1-0 robbery?
I note Chesterfield, my relegation escape prediction have gone 1-0 up against Bolton!!!!!

0-0 at half time. The exclusion of Toner seems to have given the defence a bit more cohesion, but not too much trouble either goalkeeper so far.
I'd like to see Oztumer brought on at some time (if he's fit enough), to feed our front two (yes, front two!!!) :D

Not a bad first half. Not much in it between the 2 sides.
Flo looks knackered already. Like to see Oztumer on soon

Osbourne/Osbourn/Osborn with the goal !!!
As things stand, that goal has bounced us up 5 places in the table, to 11th !!!!!!
It couldn't last long, could it??
52 minutes and it's 1-1 :(

And a third Walsall substitution, on 82 minutes (not Toner, please?) - Oztumer replaces Bakayoko
Bradford City yellow card, 90 min
1-1 at full time - something of an improved performance compared to recent games (he said, hopefully) :?

1-1 final whistle. Very decent performance and certainly the better team in 2nd half. Osbourne rightly the MotM.

That was ok.
Not much to be critical of.
McCarthy was very good today.

Re: Bradford City (H) League One, Dec 17th 3pm
First half was just "meh".
We weren't shockingly bad but we weren't great either. A spattering of clumsy passes and barely any threat on goal. It was all just too pedestrian. We continuously make things easy for the opposition which is what makes it so frustrating. When we've got the ball the opposition know they just have to harry and pressure us because it either ends up in the it being passed backwards or one of our players cacks himself and makes a mistake. When we do get into a decent attacking position instead of trying to break forward our midfield tends to either slow down to a crawl enabling the opposition to get back and cover or they punt it over the top hoping someone may get on the end of it. More often than not it goes out or straight to their keeper.
When the opposition has the ball we just back off. There's no attempt to pressure them. We just back off whilst it's pinged around our players like they're not there.
Saying all this I actually think our defence had a reasonable first half. It was just midfield and attack that broke down.
2nd half we came out and had a go. The goal was well worked. But then we did extactly what we've been guilty of countless times the last few seasons. The 10-15 minutes after scoring we have a habit of switching off and always seem to look particularly shakey. The 2nd half on the whole was a lot better and it was end to end. We had some pretty good attacks but also some dodgy moments in defence.
Etheridge reminded us how invaluable he's been this season with some great saves throughout the whole game.
For me I think Whitney left the changes too late again. When Makris and Oztumer came on we looked a lot better and had some good attacks. Bakayoko was great too before he went off. I don't think Jackson had a great game and was frustrating especially on a few occasions he ran straight into defenders, lost the ball and then couldn't be arsed to even attempt to get it back.
Makris only got 15 mins but I think he played really well in the limited time he was on. Some good linkups with Ozzie and it was noticeable he was interacting a lot more with his teammates and signalling for the crowd to make a noise.
A good point in the end but we can still be a lot better than we're showing at the moment!

Re: Bradford City (H) League One, Dec 17th 3pm
Much better performance than of late but a preverbial game of 2 halves... very poor first half (from both teams) but much improved in second 45 minutes...
Thought McCarthy played pretty well and the defence overall looked much more stable with everyone's favourite Mr Toner not in it! That said, a better quality strikeforce could have easily made a big difference in fairness (that was their first goal for a while..)
Without seeming negative I honestly do not know why we signed Moussa - he is not in any way useful..
All things considered - I'm happy with the point.. UTS

Re: Bradford City (H) League One, Dec 17th 3pm
That was a pretty decent performance. Back 4 looks relatively solid and the midfield really did work ever so hard to track back and cover. Osbourne, Chambers and McCarthy all had 9/10's.
Certain other players are just there for their running, like Edwards and Moussa, who on current form bring nothing but legs. Flo worked hard and was positive on the ball but looked a touch rusty, I'd love for him to make 2 or 3 starts in a row now and build some form.
Baka was very good first half but second he was anonymous. Jackson was poor but grew into the game until he was blowing out of his arse. Makris came on and was really tidy and useful with some really nice link up play with Baka and Oztumer.
Still plenty to improve on but that was a step in the right direction. Back 4 looked much better without Toner and Etheridge only had to make 1 or 2 "good" saves, the rest were routine.

At last Whitney realises we are in a relegation battle and he is setting them up to stop the opposition playing
However without ozzy there is nothing to watch

Re: Bradford City (H) League One, Dec 17th 3pm
A very good performance especially in the second half against a good team. JW has come in for a lot of criticism on here but got it right today. The decision to leave Ozzy out was brave but correct. We had a strong spine today and were perhaps a little unlucky not to win. However we now have something to build on for the matches coming up after Christmas. It certainly wasn't the performance of a relegation outfit so have confidence folks and get behind the team(as most fans did today) UTS
