Second half under way - double substitution from Oldham, but no change from JW

Attendance 925 ... the first time we've had a sub-1,000 gate since 1945 !!!

Better check the oven now - don't want them burnt to a crisp ....

Meanwhile, in the "real" FA Cup, Stourbridge are holding Northampton Town 0-0

And in the Chumpionship, Villa are... well....

Thanks mate! Just checked and they're looking good. 2 cups oats, 1/2 cup sultanas, 2 mashed bananas and 2tblsp peanut butter, plus vanilla and salt to taste. Easy peasy.

Walsall substitution, 70 minutes ..... Edwards replaces Dobson

Oldham's 4th corner brings their 2nd goal. 1-2 now :( :( :(

The stats tell the story. At 90 minutes our tally was 10 shots, with 1 on target. Oldham's was 12 shots with 5 on target.

At least we can now concentrate on promotion .....

I am quite pleased he changed the team about tonight because it shows what we have in the depth of the squad

ie complete and utter dross, I am utterly embarrassed by this result. Don't think I will be attending any further matches, I think we face the humiliation of relegation...without doubt.
1-3 at home to Oldham, just beyond belief.

Once again - players are quoted in the press before the game stating we are aiming for silverware etc and yet on the pitch we get let down...

I'm afraid I've lost faith in this manager.... in my opinion he was on the rocky road a few weeks ago when he had a pop at the fans but another few bad results and I reckon he'll more than likely be out of a job..

Thankfully none of the 7 of us who are season ticket holders didn't go tonight.
On the plus side my Mansfield supporting friend won't be gloating after beating us in the next round.

This is appalling! Make no mistake we are in a relegation battle but why should anybody be surprised?
Decimate a winning team that took 5 years to build and you get exactly what you deserve.
What a crap team we have...

poor crowd poor team poor manager
dropping into bottom 4 is all we now have left of our season albeit I coudnt give a fudge about this competition
what I would have liked is a win against a poor side to help the confidence for Saturday.

want to win your xmas money shove the mortgage on Bradford Saturday its a foregone conclusion.

by the way might as well let makris run the sunday market as hes the biggest waste of bench warming money weve ever spent.

Have to agree - I'm genuinely regretting renewing my season ticket.. Just not enjoyable anymore - no fun in watching a poor team, badly managed, getting sussed out by equally poor teams....

We need a change and fast..

Can't understand why Makris wasn't given a run out for the full 90 minutes! 5 minutes here, 3 minutes there are not going to do him any good.
It's beginning to look as though Whitney has no faith in him, which is a shame.

Still hoping to see a Makris hat-trick though.........

After every substitution made they scored within a few minutes. Coincidence?

He plays Toner again who makes another f*** up.

As for Makris. Either give him a good 20mins+ or don't bother making the sub.

While I'm not bothered about losing in this cup competition I certainly am bothered about conceding three at home to a relegation threatened side. It seems they made a couple of substitutions at half time (including Lee Croft) and went on to win. If only we could do that...

We lack confidence and are a side full of 'square pegs in round holes' and injury prone players. Our record signing can't even get a game in the Checkatrade Trophy yet he was considered good enough to start in a number of far more important league games. So many players flitting in and out of the side and too many 'off the wall' formation changes yet we remain easy to play against. It's clear the Sheffield United result was a fluke and we are in big trouble. We need a settled side, but we don't seem to have the personnel or the managerial nous to find one.

A lot will depend on his starting line up on Saturday, because for the life of him JW cannot change a match positively during the game.

Y'know, this is a blow as Oldham were one of the four teams I hoped would be worse than us this season....
Nuff said.
