Yeah seems like it don't it!
If Macclesfield can beat us at home, how embarrassing are our games against the likes of Bolton/Bradford etc going to be?

The game against Bolton was a humiliating 1-0 win to us.

Re arrange this well known phrase "Hairs splitting". How can anyone try to defend this outrage?

Out of the cup, mid table, season over, and it's only early November.......we expected so much, and have been shown so little from our beloved team. I'm embarrassed, as so many will be tonight.

Indeed, totally humiliating, look at Northampton...that's the way to 'deal' with lower league opposition! We are powder puff, out of the cup in the very first round, utterly shocking, nothing positive will come out of this debacle.

Great attendance too, (2334) well done the good folk of Walsall borough, hang your heads in shame, but at least fewer witnessed one of the great humiliations of our history.

1. Moussa is stealing a living.
2. Preston and Toner as a pairing is a gruesome sight.
3. What is the point of playing Bayayoko on the wing yet again?
4. Ginnelly was MOTM.
5. Moussa is stealing a living.

Macclesfield were full value for their win.

I'm afraid that this writing was on the wall last week, only for a slightly better second half performance to deceive. Sadly the happy clappers on here couldn't (sorry, wouldn't) see it.

Absolutely his attitude and lack of effort last 2 games have been nothing short of disgusting.

What I dnt get is we lump the ball to Jackson, bring on baka, stick him on the wing then start passing about with tippy tappy cack, I bet they could not believe how easy we were to defend against.

We deserve an apology.

Whitney didn't seem too bothered on that we have been out played by a national league team at home who had not won in their last 5!

We could have played another 90 mins and not scored.
Jackson upfront on his own and then putting Bakayoko on the wing?

Totally clueless Whitney!

i haven't calmed down yet

I can take losing I can even take losing to a lower league side at home

what I cant take is how poor all the team was today and how poor jons tactics were.

for those who didn't go ithe scoreline flattered us it could have been 5 and we couldn't have moaned.

the defence is as poor as it gets the goalkeeper was bloody awful and apart form ozzy nobody looked at all interested.

if this is the 1 performance that they needed to get out their system then I'm glad its out the way
more performances like this will keep the crowds away and will see us tumble back down the league.
put this right get 3 points Saturday and maybe just maybe all may be forgiven

Positives:

We played slightly better than against Yeovil!!!!

Not much traffic so got home fairly quickly.

Negatives:

Macclesfield didn't play as well as Yeovil did against us, but still outplayed us.

Every time my usual seat is denied me we play crap (although I obviously witness crap from my usual seat as well).

Substitutions made without addressing any of the core issues contributing to our ineptness, i.e. no creativity in central midfield.

Can't even be bothered to comment on individual performances.

Slightly disagree I thought Ginnelly put too shame all the senior pro's, most stuff he did didn't come off but he tried and even dropped back to almost a centre back in the first half to get hold of the ball.

Dear Jon

Please take the following as observations for you to analyse and answer.

1. Moussa has managed to get match fit and then still look like he isn't match fit. He is coasting through games and this isn't acceptable.
2. We can't defend crosses so why don't we try to stop them?
3. I don't want Toner beyond January despite what he says to the E & S.
4. I don't care how hard you and your staff have worked during the week, it isn't hard enough, or isn't productive. Both you and Holden were defenders so prey tell why we can't defend?
5. Joe Edwards is not a central midfielder so can we stop with this charade!
6. Andreas Makris would have got pillared for the performance Jackson put in today.
7. Chambers needs to lead the team.
8. Putting Bakayoko on the wing is idiotic.
9. What has Osborne done to upset you?
10. We apparently have recruited players who have fight and mental toughness so why don't they display these traits during games?
11. Why are you unable to change our system during the game?
12. What are the positives that you are taking from that performance given your post match interview?
13. Can you change the record on your post match comments as they are becoming tiring.

Fuming is an understatement.

Well about half of our "fans" didn't turn up today and neither did about half our team.We had nothing to beat and didn't beat them! Ginnelly tried hard in the role of playmaker but our lack of creativity if Ozzy is off form was cruelly exposed.Anyway it is not the first time we have lost a cup match to a team from a lower league and it won't be the last so those of you who talk of humiliation get a life.
One final point I have been saying we need a CH in January(which we do) but we also need 2 wingers who can get behind defences...and I don't mean Baka or Makris who when introduced played wide!!!!!!!!!

Very poor performance.

Whitney can't take all the blame, but he deserves a fairly large slice.

Firstly, Moussa, had a poor game, doesn't look fit, and Whitneys tactics don't help, more on that later.

Edwards for me - game passes him by - we had essentially 3 central midfielders today and the gaps in the middle of the park at times were enormous.

Preston has gone backwards, but I'm not surprised at that - look at the way he rest of our defence is performing.

Laird and McCarthy don't overlap, they stay very narrow, the whole team stay very narrow, both defending and attacking.

Jackson had a poor game by his standards, and I thought Makris actually showed some nice touches when he came on.

I can't complain too much about Ginelly and Moussa, I just think the way we play is so narrow that They never get to stretch their legs - they're always coming in field and without an overlap, the opposition fullback and midfield just double up on them.

Whitney just hasn't got what it takes - I said when we hired him it would be Mersonesque - occasional decent performances, nonsensical comments and terrible against non league opposition. We can't attack, we don't track our men, we don't stop crosses, we can't defend crosses, and now it seems Etheridge is going loopy

Tell you who's to blame. That bloody 3rd choice left back we had From Scunthorpe. Send him back and get us a second choice from somewhere.

Are you proud of this afternoons performance then? If so you are most deffo easily pleased.
If losing (nay taunted) by a poor Conference (or whatever it is now known) side at home floats your boat then so be it, you personally do not call that humiliation...........you are then, obviously in a minority of one, and should in your own words 'get a life', not watching football would be a start.
