Including 100 Saddlers. An incredible number, when you consider we will take no more than 300 for the rearranged midweek league fixture in November.

Quite why they've gone, I have no idea.

Is that not just our injured players sitting in the away end?

Is it because they are supporters rather than numpties who come on here complaining about pointless games and climb on the moan bandwagon?
If you don't like the competition then I understand but why the endless droning moaning whining FFS?

Just think how bad HE feels...his employers are Burnley, now that IS a fate worse than death itself!!

Just heard we are 2-0 up!!! (2,000 will look great spread about Bramhall Lane!!   )
Bet we lose to 'em in the league match in November, what a bummer!

Olly Lancashire scored an own goal playing for the Sloppies at Scunthorpe tonight. Latest score 2-0

In our other group match Leicester City U-21 are leading Grimsby Town 1-0 (70 mins). Grimsby have been playing with 10 men since the 16th minute (McKeown red card)

Having established a lead of 0-2 this is where we traditionally sit back......and true to form, Sheffield Utd have made it 1-2 (77 min)

A competition where we win games, have a 100% record (so far), and sit top of the group table. What's not to like?

A good win from a much changed team.

I understand the criticism of this competition in its current format but would hope that if we make the semi final there would be a very good turn out.
Good to see Bakayoko on the scoresheet again. Personally I would prefer him to start than Jackson as I think he has more to offer as a lone striker. Ideally I'd play both but don't know where that leaves Oz?

One thing we should do now is sign him on a long term deal now and not wait until the end of the season before offering a one year contract.i think he now has the attributes to score a lot of goals at this level and maybe higher.

Yessss! A Saddlers' win is always welcome, whether in the Champions League or the UreaPot Trophy. :D
Anyone know how "strong" a team Bleeds put out?

The first time I've mentioned it, so hardly droning, moaning and whining. That's more your department.

Not a fan of the set up of the trophy etc.

However...great for Bakayoko to get another goal and another game/start under his belt.

Good to see Laird getting amongst the goals too!

UTS.

Official line said 100 saddlers fans but a blades fan on twitter counted 76 haha

It was more a general comment than a go at you Bath.
With the "boycott" thread and every Checkatrade game thread containing droning, moaning and whining, enough is enough.
Even the thickest of us must now be getting the point that some don't like the competition.

Wow a win at Bramall Lane at long last.

Shame it's in this joke competition...hopefully more of the same when it really matters in late November.

Those attendances show that the fans do still have some power and say in what goes on with our beloved game when it comes to the crunch. This highlights exactly what football is without fans and also that the powers-that-be can't just do what they like.

Equally amazed that we took 100, we only took 70 more to Bristol in the league! Mad!

Always nice to beat the Blades, though....

We've obviously got some very dedicated fans when you consider that we reportedly had 100 at Bramall Lane and yet the mighty Dingles could only muster 60 to go just up the road to Crewe!!

Three points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and a bonus point for winning the penalty shoot-out, that's how it works!

It seems unfair to me that two teams so equally matched that they have to be separated by a penalty shoot out should result in the winners getting 4 points and the losers none.

Just to reiterate, the winners of a match that goes to penalties, gain 2 points and the losers 1.

Don't think they would - both would get a point for drawing but the penalty shoot out winner just gets an extra point. Otherwise Leicester would be on 7!
