So during Dean Smiths reign fans on this board used to get on Deans back for not making changes until it was too late. Let's get behind Whitney now as he's made a change and we haven't lost until we've lost.

Baka on and we've started passing the ball, you couldn't make it up if you tried.

Kinsella still on!!!!!!!!!!!! My god does he know what he is doing or what?
In for another 1-4 drubbing at Scunny hands again I fear, so much for a 3 match unbeaten run, bottom four by 5 on Saturday?

Sounds like we're more likely to concede again then score ourselves. Is the absence of Laird a factor?

Scunny are a proper bogey team at the Bescot...every season they seem to come and win 3 or 4-1.

Yet we beat them away on a regular basis!

Probably not this season though.

There you go.... a regulation 1-4 scoreline at home to Scunny (Morris with his hat-trick goal)

1-4 at home to Scunthorpe once again.

Etheridge can't save us every week. It looks like a long, long season ahead I'm afraid.

86 minutes, and Scunthorpe hit the woodwork - they don't sit back, do they?

Interesting tally of corners to reveal the attacking capabilities of the two teams....we've had 1, Scunthorpe have had 10 !!!

Elsewhere, Will Grigg makes it Wigan 2 Dingles 1, 87 minutes.

scant delight I'm afraid. What a shambles of a start to the season.
I presume we will now lose 1-4 at home to Swindon too, it's the law aye it?

Very, very, depressed, we are an embarrassment at present, still say Whitney should resign for the good of the club, this squad needs some sort of stability, that Whiter's aint giving them. The individuals we have SHOULD produce a reasonable team, but it's just not happening. Relegation struggle is inevitable, let's hope we CAN do a 'Barnsley'? :?

Defence is still too young...another kid playing volleyball in the area, you can't just gift goals at any level.

Laird was a big miss.

Is there still a loan market in operation? if not then when? we need at least 2 defensive players. because even the 2 players that didn't play tonight haven't set the world on fire, there is no competition for places at the back :|

After 20 seconds Toner put their guy in and he missed the target. It got worse when Kinsella gave them a penalty and then Flo lost the ball 20 yards out to gift the second.
A bit of magic by Oz got us back in the game and then Jackdon missed a sitter.

The half time team talk went well. Instead of hearing DONT gift them a 3rd they abviously heard DO gift a 3rd as that is exactly what we did.Game over 48 mins.

I don't buy it that Scunny are that good as the radio suggested. If they play a team like us every week they will walk it. We gift goals and are a team with no organisation whatsoever. Nobody knows what they are supposed to do.Then again what do you really expect from a physio?

Unless we bring in either a manager who can organise this lot or at least a proven coach then I'm afraid we have relegation written all over us this season.
More worryingly if Jeff Bonser, Stef Gamble and others at the helm cannot see this at this point we are fecked.

well that can only be summed up as utter garbage.

from the moment they won a soft penalty the result was never in doubt just the scoreline.

we had 3 minutes of exciting play out of the 95 played with injury time and that was right at the end of the first half when motm otzumer created the only real skill of the night and dribbled and turned inside the box to shoot low in the corner.

I don't know what we should do about the position as although I like whitney hes completely out of his depth in this league and has a very poor looking squad with the exception of maybe 3 or 4 players.

do we pull the plug and get rid
do we have him in and offer him some help by bringing someone to help him
do we hope he resigns and go looking for a proper experienced manager.

2 wins out of 10 doesn't make good reading yet to win away and barely look like winning at home.
leave it to rot and I'm sure well hover around bottom 6

This is partly what I don't get. Yes, Whitney is essentially a physio wearing manager's shoes but he has a whole host of more experienced people around him that could / should be giving him guidance - Neil Woods, John Ward, Neil Cutler, Dean Holden (experienced ex-pros).

What is the point in having them around if they don't step in when it needs it from time to time? Obviously within slightly different ways.

Exactly, what is the point of all theses hangers-on if they provide diddly squat to the party?
If a new manager IS brought in (eventually when it is probably already too late anyway) I believe a new man would get rid of all but Cutler. Some thing HAS to be done, quickly, before it IS too late to make any difference to the inevitable relegation battle we now find ourselves in.
