Bolton Wanderers (H) League One, 17th Sept 3pm
This is a very early start for the thread of our game against the top-of-the-table Trotters (at the time of writing). I will still be in sunny Bulgaria, so some other kind soul could possibly update things between now and then!
Feel free to add whatever suitably decent comments you judge to be appropriate........

If, as virtually everyone is predicting, we get stuffed in our next two games, the last thing we would want as associate members of the relegation zone, is a visit from this seasons run away league winners, however this is usually when we come good, and will probably beat 'em! (remember 3-0 at Sunderland all those years back?).

Surely it's a shambles Bolton are even in this division?!
I was reading they're under some embargo...yet still signed 5 on deadline day?

If normal rules of game predicting apply Bolton top of league unbeaten playing well Walsall bottom end of league leaky defence playing badly easy win for saddlers 1-0

I can see a 2-0 defeat in this one I'm afraid. At least there will be the consolation of a decent away following to boost the crowd to 5,000+.

I've been in hibernation so flying in for my 1st game of the season.
Last one was Port Vale away 5-0.
So I'm going for 5-0 again. Forde, Bradshaw 2, Morris and Mantom.

Yeah but at odds like that you would have to put a months salary down in order to win enough for a Chinese for two!
What are the odds for us to win?       more chance of winning the lottery I would suggest!

Surely you've got enough now from putting your pension on Sheffield United winning the league every year....
Oh.

Think you need to look at your local Chinese pricing deals mate. Even if you are at minimum wage you would get £1,300 profit from a months wage.
Thats a lot of prawns knackers!

As for the actual game...
Narrow 1-2 defeat, probably similar to Charlton.
Bolton adapted well so far and it's a Phil Parkinson team so plenty of hoofball and 6ft 5 beasts in defence. A goal conceded from a corner or cross looks inevitable.

ok time to predict the result. 3-2 to the super saddlers. we will win because they won't expect us to come at them hitting 3 goals in the first 20 mins. then we will baton the hatches down for the next 70 mins just holding out winners to walk off the pitch hero's :D
ps i must thank scott for the info on his dealer

Oh.
I've done another double again this year, Bolton top of course, and Blades second. Was looking like another re-run of last seasons debacle, when the Blades failed to materialise, but they seemed to have rallied somewhat of late, you never know I might get back to Florida on my winnings after all! :D Crazy situation though that Bolton & Sheff United are in the 3rd Division, whilst the likes of Burton Albion are in the 2nd!
On the match itself they will just be too strong for our disorganised and fruitless rabble, 0-3 would be acceptable under the circumstances, just hope they don't do a 'Doncaster at Morecambe' on us!

Halooooooo...........is there anybody out there?
Is this a Blair Witch kick off?
Or has everybody lost interest cus weem crap and expected to lose anyway?
Surely even Chunkster has not given in to shopping with the missus, with a gammy leg, instead of relaxing in front of a screen watching the goals against tally increase by the minute?

Well, I'll have to do it myself then...........
I think he has probably put his best eleven on the field today. So this will be an ultimate test of how crud this squad actually is.
Good to see O'Connor back in, and Makris given another chance to shine.
I'll keep myself up to date with regular checks on this number of goals we let in, as time proceeds, if anyone else cares to chip in, your most welcome.

Welcome folks, thought I was living in a parallel world for a while!
Edwards what a prat as someone else has said, we are playing the League winners, what we don't need is to be down to 10 men with only 16 minutes played.
