The small part I could be bothered to watch exemplified the lack of quality we have at the moment.

Lescott, under no pressure at all passing the ball to a Ukranian player, which lead to their goal and a variety of miss hit shots, most notably the miss from 5 yards by Cleverly.

Saw an interesting stat yesterday, in the year before the Premier League formed more than 70% of top flight players were English, last year it was less than 40%.

Listened through some of it then realised that although It was on I really wasn't paying attention (mind you the commenting team were getting on my nerves) so I turned it off. I don't think I care any more. I watched some of the game on Friday but was only paying half attention to it.

Shame but I guess I've just losing interest in the national side. My loss.

Just as a postscript to this thread I think it is fairly enlightening that a message board dedicated to football has so few posts on the latest competitive fixture of the national football team.

I don't think it's the fan's fault, more the players. They have a level of lady-garden-ishness allied with ineptitude and an added splash of arrogance.

I agree. The players left the fans, not the other way round.
