Will Spain crash out tonight?
Assuming Switzerland beat Honduras tonight, Spain are going to have to beat Chile in order to qualify. Given that no South American side has yet lost a match at this World Cup, does anyone else think the favourites will follow France and Italy and crash out prematurely tonight?

I hope they do go out but I have a feeling they'll get the win they need.
If they go through they'll either face Brazil or Portugal which could see the end of them though.

Re: Will Spain crash out tonight?
Spain are one of the most frustrating sides to watch in the competition in my eyes. I don't buy in to them being this fantastic footballing side, sure they were in 2008 but in my opinion they've gone backwards in the last 2 years ever so slightly.
Their midfield is built around pure genius in Xavi, Iniesta and Alonso (who has just got better and better) but they are such a nonchalant team in the final 3rd.
Puyol has turned to the Jamie Carragher way of defending, if you cant catch them anymore, foul them and up front Torres has not fired for them for a long time and in all honesty starting Mata and Villa together makes more sense.
Their arrogance was exposed by the Swiss and in all honesty it was proved that their arrogance has over taken their confidence in the game against Honduras. There thay had the opportunity to stamp their mark on the tournament but they didn't.
In Capdevila they have a very weak link and in Sergio Ramos they have a right back/wing back that thinks he's a striker (be interesting to see how Mourinho treats him at Real because he really isn't a Mourinho type of player).
I wouldn't be surprised if Chile did something tonight, in Matias Fernandez and Alexis Sanchez they have two quality, quality forward players. If Chile don't beat them, I'm pretty sure there's two or three teams that will left in the knockout stages.
I just get the feeling they expect to win this tournament at a canter just a little too much.

I think Chile will get a 1-1 draw vs Spain.
Switzerland will beat Honduras by 2-3 goals so Chile will finish top with Switzerland second.
Spain, like Italy.. just havent produced this world cup at all and I cant see that changing tonight.
Sure, if Torres was fit it would of been completely different by now.. but he isnt.

Whatever happens in this game is going to be pointless if Switzerland don't beat Honduras.

That second goal by Spain tonight was absolute class. Who said you can't control this football ? Iniesta seemed to manage it just perfect.
I have enjoyed watching Chile, but they deserve to go out to Brazil for not trying to score another goal in the last 20 minutes. Some tasty tackles in the first half though !
