It's very interesting reading actually.

If you take the theory of 1-11 being the strongest line-up, it shows a few things:
James as 1st choice keeper
Gerrard & Lampard together
Lennon as 1st choice winger
and Crouch as the main man up front.

A few eye-openers there, I must say.

Of course, the 1-11 theory is just theory, but I always insist there's an element of truth in it.

I wouldn't say the 1-11 was too much of a shock to be honest leics, it would mean we'd line up.

---------------------------James----------------------
---Johnson-----Ferdinand------Terry-----A Cole---
---Lennon------Gerrard-----Lampard----J Cole----
-----------------Rooney-------Crouch----------------

That's not a bad 1-11, and if we do play 4-4-2 (which I hope we don't) then is probably as strong as we can do. Personally I'd play Green in goal instead of James but I don't think we're any stronger/weaker regardless of who is in goal.

Not unhappy with that. I think if Barry had been 100% fit he'd have got the number 7 shirt and would start with Gerrard pushed out right.

I would start with Hart in goal

Hart

Johnson . Ferdinand - Terry - A Cole

Gerrard - Lampard - Barry - Milner

Crouch - Rooney

Assuming Barry if fit

I agree. I think Hart did enough to warrant a start!

I'm not sure. I think they're all the same to be honest. All have their qualities and all have their weaknesses.

Hart looks very nervous when playing for England i think, although put on the spot I'd probably choose him too.

I just hope the "calamity James" tag doesn't make an unwelcome return!

James and Green are both liable to make a big mistake. It might only be one mistake all tournament but it's usually a telling one. Hart all the way for me as he's the most consistent by far.

Crouch should definitely be the main man up front. Unless he is going to play Gerrard up there with Rooney, we don't have anyone better than Crouch to partner Rooney in my opinion.

I'm not sure the midfield will work out with Gerrard and Lampard in the middle for the whole tournament, but it may for the first game at least.

Swap Joe Cole's position with Gerrard, and that looks pretty decent.

I'd go same team, different formation.
