I don't like the look of this, Barnsley look far more capable going forward and you get the feeling if one goes in it'll end up being three!

That's twice they've had the ball in our net - both offside (fractionally)

Look nervy, taking too long in possession and not getting to grips with them in the air.
Whitney needs some words to change it.

Half time, time for a breather, to regroup and come out fighting in the second half. All still to play for.

We're certainly not winning any headers and yet we keep insisting on lumping high balls up to Tom Bradshaw, who (as usual) is being marked by a tall gorilla.
I reckon bring Jordy on in place of Milan for the 2nd half, and try and keep it on the ground......

Good team Barnsley, if they beat us I'd expect them to beat either Millwall or Bradford. Our nightmare opponents really, fast pressing game, fudge with some excellent players in their line-up. The other two are hoof-ball outfits I'd fancy beating in a one-off on a big pitch.
Don't despair, we can score against them. I'd settle for 1-0 now though. No changes yet imo

Should have done better than that for the goal.
This is what I mean about our lack of mental strength, we've gone to pieces compared to Sunday, too many passes gone astray, caught in possession too many times, poor decision making.

Their goal did take a deflection (otherwise it might have been going wide), and the BBC website have it down as a Demetriou own goal.......

Re: Barnsley (A) Play-off Semi 1st leg, Sat 14th May 5.30pm
Barnsley are playing positively and confidently. We have grown into the game and Bradshaw should have scored after good work from Lalkovic and Forde forcing a good save direct from a free kick. I thought we had weathered the storm but their goal was poor from a defensive point of view, five defenders and the goalscorer was allowed to score with ample time and space with Demetriou looking like he got the final touch. Lucky with the offside decision
We're still well in it though.
Sky Sports are so biased towards the home side it's untrue.

You could see the Barnsley goal coming. We're getting out muscled all over the place and are lucky to be only 1 down.
Sawyers has been invisible, Milan is making no impact , Henry is getting taken to bits and Toms feeding off scraps.
We need to look wide too get back into this. Throwing the ball down the centre halves throat isn't working. Barnsley are not that good , it's just we haven't turned up yet. We are still in this but an early Tykes goal could prove fatal.
Come on boys dig deep and play the way we know you can .

Agree about the long balls. Unfortunately, we have started the second half by doing precisely that!

A big, big let off, 3 on 1 on the break and Etheridge saves.
End to end now.

When we've got the ball they're all over us like a rash.
When they've got the ball we just back off.

Forde, Sawyers, Lalko and Morris have been abysmal. Ponderous going forward and not helping defensively.
Completely fudge up now - we'll be lucky to keep it to 3.

We are being given a footballing lesson in determination and (I have to say it) ability.

Said it time and time again, we need more steel in the team. No leaders.
