Suspected we'd lose this one, but still painful.
Flump! :(
Looking a bit cack in the table now too, although the playoffs seem attainable, if only cos the potential contenders for 6th place are all crap.

It may sound ridiculous after just a few games, but O' Driscoll can go for me too.
Automatic promotion has gone now, but the PO's are still there for the taking IMO. However, it is unlikely that we will do it with SO'D. As I said last week, I have the feeling he did not particularly want the job.
I was speaking to a couple of Bristol City fans I work with, and they were saying to me that he put the club back 2 years with his dour personality, style of play and tactics. They could not wait to get rid of him.

It's Coventry, Southend, Bradford and Port Vale we need to be worrying about.

I wouldnt worry about them. We're only still in the playoffs because the likes of those 4 can't put a run together and have the same sort of form as us. I one or two of them had been better in last two months we probably wouldn't be top 6 now.

five rivals contrive to keep us in reach but like I said last time....if they were all to lose 3-0, we would be even more generous with our rivals and lose 4-0.
Season over, can't score, defend or win....against anyone, things only getting worse.

Team will still finish in the play offs...no chance team is winning the play offs with his mindset and dare I say manager.
Plenty to ponder at boardroom level I'd say.

Very unlikely all teams around us will continue to make allowances for us......L,D,L,D,D,L
5 weeks and we should be out of play offs

Well that's 90 minutes I wont get back. Couldn't pass, couldn't shoot, couldn't defend, couldn't save. Shambles.

I hope I'm proved wrong but I don't believe we will be in the play-offs. A criminal waste of a golden opportunity as seasons like this don't come round that often!
Why on earth does one of the most talented players I have seen in a Walsall shirt these last 50 years spend the afternoon sitting on the bench?
I will be at Chesterfield next Saturday but I feel pessimistic.
O'Dismal should go!

seroulsly would never of thought after just a couple of months I would call for a manager to be sacked , but sorry SOD has to go. He has ripped the soul out of this side.
Attending games is not enjoyable and the Fans are already voting with their feet.
Just think once again Rico has not played a minute of Football...

There was a sizeable section of the home end voicing their disapproval and booing his decisions during the game.
I'm not asking for his head yet but my confidence in him is fast going.

Its over now girls and boys.
If you witnessed todays game you would know why.
O dismal either does not really care, or he just cant motivate anyone. There are certain players who know they could finish tenth and they will still get their pay rises in July.
The ones that want to try and win have no confidence. Why would they? O Driscoll's only tactic is the long ball to the lone striker.
The season is dying on its fudge arse.
Andy Taylor was the best player on the pitch today, sums it all up.

Re: Barnsley (H) League One March 5th 3pm
the warning signs were in SOD attitude when he arrived when he said something about having his own opinions on the players etc.... seemed like nothing, but maybe those were the man-management seeds of disaster
Kenny Mower told me that in the Barnwell days the players were miserable as he was strict disciplinarian, they weren't allowed to listen to music etc... And so they all sulked and played rubbish.
I am changing my opinion on SOD.......I guess man-management was an issue and now it seems tactics, I thought he understood about the need for two strikers...now he seems to have capitulated to the first goal nonsense philosophy.

The bloke is a prize knob head, letting a personal vendetta get in the way of making a football team successful, interesting to hear what Brizzle fans were saying about him.
I do believe that if the Board do not act this coming week to rid themselves of this doomladen, miserable useless git, then I will think twice about wasting any more of my Pension pot following what is obviously a football team bereft of leadership. Get rid, let the three amigo's try to restore some pride before the season peters out into mid table mediocrity.

Shambolic and inept - further than that and I'll start using bad language!
SOD - you have ruined what was a great opportunity.. If he stays the playoffs are beyond us - simple as that..
Go now and we've maybe got a chance but it'll take some rebuilding after what he's done to us..
I actually feel a bit sorry for the players - they must be as sick as the fans...

Shite, SOD out.
Those who cheered Sawyers off and boo'd him, hang your heads in shame. Embarrassing so called "support".

This has been happening for the past 2 months, his team selection sealed the result before a ball was kicked.

Agree with point 1 but not 100% on your second point..
Yes, the booing is out of order but frankly he has shown a huge level of disinterest for weeks now and in a different team would have been dropped ages ago.. He wastes so much possession it's unbelievable - sorry to disagree but he deserved to be subbed today and the frustration shown by the fans in understandable

What SOD said after his first game in charge:
"I was just pleased with the way they performed in some senses.
"I said to them before the game 'if you want to impress me, impress me with your attitude and your honesty and your commitment' - and I thought they did.
"I still think they are punching above their weight and I think the second half of the season is going to be a little bit more difficult."
