Good to see he hasn't forgot his main source of goals! Could be a rugby score if they keep it up!

Half-time and it's 0-0, with very similar stats for each side. Both have had 4 shots, with 2 on target. We must be doing our fair share of attacking football though, because we've had 8 corners to Burton's 2. Not managed to convert them........

(EDIT.... at the very end of the 1st half, we have Gillingham 0 Chesterfield 2 !!!) :D :D :D

Peterborough Utd 1 Swindon Town 1

Blackpool 0 Bradford City 1

We could really do with a win today.

Looks like Wigan +1 for automatic promotion.

Trouble is at 0-0 one slip and it's over, last week was a prime example.
Just keep 'em at bay for this last 10 minutes, would be a good result, not excellent, but good.

1 win in 6 games, can't score.....positive is the defence

Needed a win today for much hope of automatic promotion....still think will do well to make 6th, team has gone backwards in too many ways...

Everyone is catching up now, that we can't win or score.

If we went up with current team and play we would finish in bottom four anyway I think.....it's a big jump the division above.

Not so sure about our defence. Good today, maybe, but leaking 8 goals in 3 home games, points zero, ain't great defending (luck against us or not). I know the defence has been very good this season - not long ago the meanest in the division, and, not long ago we had the best goal difference. This has been our sticky patch. Let's hope it's over and we can push on. It's all still to play for. UTS!

Just to help you a little, this week was a chance to gain ground lost in previous weeks and keep up with Wigan....we are running out of time to win a sufficient amount of games to achieve a top-two spot.

Just to remind you, we have been top and 2nd this season. We are now 4th, 6 points behind the leaders....and 4 points behind 2nd place.

I guess these little explanations are why I am needed around here.

Sorry to dry out your puddle.

Yes I just meant today against the top team...I don't see us going up at all now. We are looking the weakest attack in the top 7 to me. And we can't rely on keeping clean sheets either as we hardly ever have them now.

Defence didn't have much to do so the jury is still out if we can reach the early season standard
Not a pretty game, and to be honest should have expected it with a Nigel Clough team.
We got a point, they got a point, both managers will be happy tonight.
Just think, with a more adventurous approach the 3 points were there for the taking. But then again, if you don't play your best players you will always struggle.

Decent performance, dominated against a willing but limited team.
Never looked likely to lose today.
However, lack of shots and ideas near their goal cost us yet again.
Hope some of our "supporters" would bugger off to the Custard bowl.

If this IS true, then I will be glad when we are back to mid table (soon) when the usual crowd only, go to away matches, these part timers are ruining the away experience for me. I've been going to lots of away matches over the past number of years, and only on a few occasions would we hear irritated voices when we lose match after match (perhaps if the players had not put up a decent fight, ie Barnsley last year). Recently it has been embarrassing, wish they would all stop at home.

Slightly disappointed about the result. I thought Burton were there for the taking, always looked like they were set up for the draw.

Overall a good performance by the lads, thought mantom had one of his better games.

Onwards and upwards!

very idiotic if low life clowns are turning against the manager and team totally counter-productive and immoral

We need to have a run of 3 or 4 wins now, to be back in contention...but I don't see that happening as we can't score against any team, top or bottom.

Players are not exerting themselves enough to create chances I think...they should have a psychotic obsessive compulsion to score and drive forward.

Maybe they should take some Viagra or something.

If that's the standard of the top of this league then I'm quite ashamed to claim we are having a good season.

Terrible, abhorrent game, played in a dire atmosphere, between 2 awful sides. We were marginally better and looked on the front foot, but created virtually zero. I was in the home end and they played 9-1-1 effectively, letting us have the ball and packing everyone back, typical Nigel Clough bullshit. They were awful, but we weren't much better.

Bradshaw has given up running the channels, he's constantly stood marked, isolated and when the ball does get to him, he dives.

Mantom and Taylor were awful, Lalkovic not much better. Sawyers is no longer finding gaps in between defence and midfield.

Chambers/O'Connor and Downing the standouts.

Where has the dynamic football gone? Where is the attacking in numbers? We are so subdued and the flowing/freedom to the football is gone.

This side certainly won't go up and if we are lucky enough to finish in the top 6, then you can bank on us being out quickly.

Awful, awful game.

I won't comment on SOD, but the lack of Henry was again - disgraceful.

we are creating chances. the problem is there is no one in the box to take them. and why we keep pumping the ball in the air is beyond me :( we have a team of midgets. keep it on the floor

The problem is that SOD is not exactly endearing himself to the fans. By dropping one of our best talents in years and showing little or no intent to go out and win games what do you expect?

Burton were there for the taking today and he failed to make the changes that could have won the game.

We are a pale shadow of the team from earlier in the season and it's all down to O!DIsmal. He told us he wouldn't change things yet clearly has.The way we used to rotate the team confused most teams but now it's very predictable.
It appears to me that the players are not buying into his views either given recent performances.

The worst part about it is that listening to him he is not really that interested if we go up or not.
On paper it looked like a good appointment but in reality we should have probably stayed with the Whitney/cutler/ Ward combo. At least we had a good sense of togetherness and team spirit.

Correct on the first comment. I was near those singing that plus "Jon Whitney's barmy army" and "Whitney should have got the job, do da, do da".

The "don't know what you're doing" was aimed at SOD for not bringing on Rico I think.

Didn't hear players boo-ed at end.

We deserved to win that game and if we'd have snuck a goal I reckon the anti SOD chants and groans in the last ten minutes wouldn't have occurred.

Not convinced about SOD but cmon get fully behind the team all match.

Oh yeah, "3 points clear and we fudged it up" was a popular terrace song amongst that group today!

Maybe creating a few chances but to score a decent amount of goals in game many chances need to be created...

They should have brought in a tall athletic striker ages ago...doesn't have to be best in world, but someone fast, strong and with heading ability would have had some goals in this team.

We don't even seem able to threaten from corners much either.

If we can't sign anyone at all then we will struggle to ever do anything. I can understand not affording big wages....and transfer fees...but not signing anyone at all from anywhere? We can't attract any half decent non-leage player to Walsall? Or some out of favour player in a more successful team?

Why aren't we using Bakayoko and Murphy when we can't score? It is like we let the whole house flood over a few months and when it is washed down the river....we call a plumber.
