if u take too long to score....the other team scores

we are not creating anywhere near enough chances to get promoted....Wigan will overtake us soon

i actually posted this before they scored....but this forum has seriously narrow gates

only one person can pass at a time

good old days....when i could get in fellows park for £2.50

£2.50? Tew pownd fifty?. In moy day, oy could gerrin for 'arf a crown. Yow could get 40 points [pints] of moild [mild] at The Mownt Club for £2.50
[i.e 40 pints for £2 10s at 1s 3d a pint; this will be a) not understood and b) not believed anyway by anyone younger than about 55. Of course, beer was a bit more expensive down town but at The Mount Club on Caldmore Rd (Karma Rd now??) Highgate Mild was 1s 3d a pint.]
Looks like we're more than holding our own but in these conditions, one slip up...

0-2 :(

You simply cannot sustain a promotion charge with only one proven striker.

Ah bollox, looks to have finished it that

Only saving grace today is the 3 points at Doncaster in the week.

Conditions not helped but a real poor home turnout.

Agreed, and is perhaps the reason why we have Jordan Cook as a back up striker.

Mind you, the home form is hardly great is it? Failing to beat any of Oldham, Crewe, Blackpool and Rochdale tells its own story and could be the Achilles heel in our promotion push. We are simply not clinical enough at home.

And the 'spark' has deffo gone, my associates have told me we were VERY lucky not to have lost on Tuesday, hope today is not the start of a downward spiral, would be a very unfortunate end to a great season of possibility. Still a couple of minutes to claw back a point though!

Sorry silly idea, 2-0 down bad day at the office, has SOD tinkered us to death?

Let's bring on attacking options.

Norwich have brought on Bamford and Redmond as they are 2-0 down to the Vile, wonder if we will bring on Lalks and Kieran to try and create some chances / score some goals? :?

Edit: Burton now 3-0 up. Attacking and playing to your strengths brings you goals it seems.

game over

SOD out.......

we have gone backwards......

not creating, not scoring, best players on the bench, and leaking goals........

we will finish 5th at best.....unless he stops being stubborn and makes proper changes

Agreed. We need a freshening up and this has been obvious since the new year. It's great that we have managed to hold on to Henry, Bradshaw at al but it won't be enough to sustain top two IMO.

0-3 :(

Not good enough. It appears that as soon as Bradshaw went off, we've gone to pieces.

Never gonna be smooth sailing pal. Would hope we get a loan in though, especially if Bradshaw's injury is anything serious. Lalkovic should be starting too for me, and Rico back in the wingback position .

3-0 now, bad bad day. Millwall are brilliant away from home and we are still pretty suspect at the bescot

Suddenly...yes? What a shame its all turning to a pile of poo, all the usual suspects will come on hear later saying
"All this negativity, we could still go up via the play off's" etc etc etc add infinitum...this IS Walsall we are talking about.
As the wife ALWAYS says to me "don't get too excited, they always cock it up after Christmas!" What a shame she'll be right again.

And we got rid of Baxendale when we can't unlock a defence for shiiiite......clever

Sawyers can't score hardly ever....nor tackle, nor flick half the time

Forget fifth....it is a relegation battle now

Why don't we get rid of Lalkovic and Morris too and play Taylor up front with Bradshaw in goal

SOD will be proud of our performance today....and wont over-analyze it

Very true. We got away with it a bit at The Den too. Now for SOD to earn his money.

The pattern is turning into....scrape a lucky victory with a poor team, draw with a bad team, get thrashed by a half decent team

Too late, the rots set in, he's tinkered us about, they have lost confidence, and lost a great chance to get to the Championship. It was great while it lasted, lets hope we eventually hang on to perhaps the last spot in the play off places for another chance at Wembley....then again.........

bring on our capable players in the last 14 minutes when we are 0-2 down....great plan

How about give them time when it is 0-0

players must be losing confidence now in themselves and the manager

Undecided whether the result or these simpleton dribblings have spoiled the day more.

Time to add Sallian as a foe. What an absolute fool.

People were way too confident about this one. I had us to lose comfortably.

We still have a great chance of promotion but we just need a little injection of quality to push us over the line. Our incredible away form will keep us in the mix.

We carry on!!

No over reaction on my part. Losing at home to Millwall is no disgrace, but losing 3-0 twice at home in three matches is a considerable concern.

I only wish we could play away every week.

Hmmm....don't think we were as bad as score line suggests....

However we are still second and all other teams around us are suffering results like this and it tends to be at home for some reason. We have to play Burton and all other teams around us, it's still in our hands.

Worrying. Nothing more at this stage.

I'm surprised it's taken you this long Scott! He's the only poster I've ever added as a foe.

Sat Feb 06, 2016 5:16 pm

just got back home
what a horrible day weatherwise

despite conditions we played really well today especially first half
the reason why we lost this game is purely because our bear thread squad is running out of steam and the injuries are mounting up and the fact we aren't clinical enough at home.
not going to blame the players today this is down to the club settling for what they have got and not bringing in any fresh players in the attacking department.
millwall were totally outplayed but they were clinical and that why they scored 3 goals and took the points.
I cant see us going up automatically unless we address this situation when the loan window reopens
we should go out and get emile heskey or that type of player who can play upfront with tom
if that means sacrificing a sawyers then so be it because he is a luxury player that has all the tricks but unless you have a centre forward to bring into the play its completely pointless
need to take our frustration out on crewe next Saturday
