Seeing a lot of the ball but no end product so far.

Haven't been able to make it today so watching on Sky but it's showing we definitely miss Bradshaw.

Quoted from the BBC live text:

"Want a snapshot of the first half? Well with seven outfield bodies inside their own penalty area, you get a picture of just what Walsall have to try break down to force a genuine chance."

Vale pushing hard, especially when the ball is around the defence. Surely can't keep it up and will tire.

0-0 HT

Drab game so far.

Etheridge hasn't looked comfortable with the ball at his feet at all.
No height whatsoever up top.

Hopefully a HT cuppa will sort them out!

Stale first half where we got slowly worse as it went on. Vale look more of a goal threat than we do bar a few pop shots. Someone needs to get up and help Milan or we need a set piece/rasper kind of a goal. Lets see what the second half brings.

Just as a side note - I got called 'Sad' for saying this may be our team come the end of January when Rico and Tom are sold.

Well today is another insight into that so far and it isn't pretty.

Etheridge has been awful.

We need someone to aim for upfront if Tom isn't fit.

I am hoping Tom's injury is doing us a favour as he is out of the spotlight so to speak :)

Agree, it's been a cack game so far, I wonder how many more have turned off from Sky since the start

we have been faced with games like this all season. they come and park the bus and catch us on the break. this is where sod earns his corn. and we will see how he changes things at half time. and if he has more technical knowledge than smith

No substitutions at half-time, and in the betting markets The Draw is now the favourite outcome.....

We have our first corner ....

Good save from Etheridge. Would not be surprised to see him make a ricket today.

Substitution for Port Vale - Ikpeazu on for Dodds (injury)

Is it getting near the mandatory Cook time?

Was going to a local pub to watch us on sky after ousting Xmas visitors, but it don't seem worth it from what has been seen from the first half.
As someone mentioned above, this will probably be our team come the end of January, and we all know that there will be no 'replacements' forthcoming, so the rest of the season is looking bleak.
Wigan & the Blades slowly creeping up the table I notice, holiday in Florida from my winnings would be the outcome if they do take spots 1 & 2!

About 8 yards out. I had visions of it reaching the upper tier!

Evans 25/30 yards out, just over the bar.

This is much more like it.

As things stand, we're 2nd in the table - 3 points behind Burton Albion but with a game in hand. Our goal difference is much better than theirs too..... :D

Port Vale get the first yellow card of the game.

Well, I've won with two bets on Walsall today

I cashed out the "below 2.5 goals" bet in the first half, and did the same with the "Walsall win" bet immediately we scored!!! :D
