I think Smith will go back to the 3-5-1-1 tomorrow, and we'll see Rico back in the team after his rest at Wigan.
I would go:
MacGillivray
Kinsella
O'Connor
Downing
Taylor
Henry
Flanagan
Chambers
Mantom
Sawyers
Bradshaw
It's going to close, and I'm going to go for a 1-1 draw with O'Connor scoring an equaliser after Duffy gets one for them...
Att: 4,838
1,024 from Burton.

I have a feeling this will one will be 0-0, in front of a better than expected 5,520, including 780 Brewers.

Kinsella had a mare at Morecambe, and Forde was awful against Bury at wing back. I'd rather play Preston at right back tomorrow.

Have to disagree with that. Kinsella made a dreadful throw-in which led to their second goal. Apart from that, he was sound. However, I do agree about using Preston.

Agree that it would be good to see Preston feature a bit more, as we has very impressive when he came on against Brighton, although it's tough to see where he fits in as I don't think Smith will risk him as a right-back, maybe he could play as one of the CB's in a three instead of Taylor?

Not sure what game you were watching. He was constantly caught out of position and gave the ball away.

Three centre halves would still require a wing back and I don't think there's anyone suited. Preston is one of our quickest players so can play full back at a push. If a winger tries to get past them he can kick them anyway.
Kinsella should be favourite but in my opinion wasted his opportunity last time so Preston should be given a chance, even if it's not in his best position.
Where's Ben Purkiss when you need him?

Absolutely MMF he was awful, can't see him appearing tomorrow, would be a dreadful decision.
Someone above has Kinsella & Flanagan in his team choice! :( Combined with Downings current abominable form, and macG's unproven ability, that would present Burton with three points without any degree of effort.
Would expect Kinsella to follow Murphy to a loan arrangement shortly.
My head genuinely expects another Bury type failure in front of home fans again, but my heart wishes for a result that would see us proudly sat at the top 'o the League come 5 'oclock! :) :)

Re: Burton Albion (H) League One, 10th October 3pm
Kinsella and Flanagan both have the makings of decent players, but like all young players they'll be inconsistent, thats standard and you just have to live with it. It's just disappointing when they have been given chances this season, they haven't put in "you can't drop me now, Gaffer" performances.
Kinsella looks a shadow of the player that started so well last season, but I don't think Smith handled that well. Completely bombing him, hardly to return, after he'd done so well. There might have been other reasons for that though.

Re: Burton Albion (H) League One, 10th October 3pm
Match day! I think it will be a cagey 1-1 in front of 5,555 with 1,170 having travelled from Burton. I also predict that anyone hitting the ticket queue after 2:40 will miss kick-off (bigger than usual crowd today, friends for a fiver, Shrewsbury tickets on sale).
I always think that on days like today and other times when there is a high demand that we could use the old club shop (the bit behind the permanantly shuttered windows to the left of the ticket office) as an overflow. The only tickets that require a computer terminal today are today's match tickets being sold today. Collections come out of a wooden box filed in alphabetical order and our away allocations are just a pile sent to us from the home clubs. If these were avalable in the old club shop it would leave all five windows in the ticket office to serve today's walk-ups. Again, the club talk a lot about match day experience, but standing on the car park for half an hour potentially in the rain, isn't that enticing to occasional supporters.
A win would be ace as it would guarantee us stretching our lead over 7th because Sheff Utd and Rochdale play each other.

Really looking forward to this game. If there is any game where the first goal is crucial then it's this one.
I'm going for a tight 1-0 win with Bradshaw getting a late winner. Just over 6K there too.

Looking forward to this one aswell, I reckon today my dismal live jinx will be smashed and it will be a 3-1 Walsall win.
Looking at results Burton are a bit like Walsall, tight defence and eek out 1-0 wins. An early goal like v Crewe and they'll have to come out and attack a bit more so hopefully that will happen.

Surprisingly (to me) Sky have us as favourites to win this one.....pre-match odds:
Walsall win............. 5/4
The draw................ 12/5
Burton to win...........21/10

Cards being kept very close to chests......gone a quarter to three, and no team announcement as yet. Have Burton turned up?
Edit: here we go....the starting line-up:
MacGillivray
Kinsella
O'Connor
Downing
Taylor
Mantom
Chambers
Flanagan
Henry
Sawyers
Bradshaw
Substitutes: Baxendale, Forde, Lalkovic, Preston, Morris, Cook, Roberts.
There's a possible confusion in that O'Connor also takes the field for Burton!!

Early goal at Gigg Lane..... Bury 1 Wigan Athletic 0 (which pushes us down to 3rd in the table)
At the other end of the table, Oldham Athletic 0 Scunthorpe 1 (Edit..... it's now 1-1, after 25 min)
And strangely.... Barnsley 0 Crewe Alexandra 1 (Edit.... 1 minute later it's 1-1)

At least you c an't blame R O'D......he's on the bench.
Straight after half-time, Sloppies score to make it 1-2 against Colchester.

Great game so far.
Both sides having a go.
Brilliant goal from Kinsella.
Flanagan still a wuss.
Sawyers having a blinder.
Need another one 2nd half!

Kinsella has been excellent first half. Best I've seen Mantom play this season too. Second half underway
