Surely this will be live on Sky if we keep up our early season form (extra cash for the club)?

First half, we showed them a bit too much respect and couldn't get used to how little time they gave us on the ball.

Second half, we took the game to them and fully deserved the win. Sawyers made such a massive difference - the bloke sees passes no-one else does. He was instrumental in both goals.

Yet again, Smith deserves a lot of praise. We were a different side in the second half, so whatever he said at half time gave us another gear and his subs were all spot-on too.

After the last two cup performances, that third round draw couldn't be any more deserved. Let's hope Sky see sense and pick the Banks's rather than the two derbies that came out of the hat. We're bloody unlucky if our game isn't on the box, that's for sure.

I imagine it may get moved to a Wednesday or put on Bt Sports or something.

Just got in and I am still buzzing, even though we failed to quite hit the SAME levels against Cov we were still imho the better side and deserved to win. The 4 real chances they created were either from the midfield giving the ball away or a VERY soft penalty and a stonewall penalty.

Etheridge still gives me the heebie Jeebies
Lleyton Hewitt was fantastic but rode his luck towards the end (little sneeky kick out could have been a second yellow)
Rico Henry is amazing.
Everything Sawyers did oozed class
Floppy hair man ran his socks off
Manton got better as the game wore on
Flannagan was off the pase
Preston is a tank
O'Connor just gets better and better with age and so does Chambers.
Lalkovic, just love the bloke.
Morris like Manton improved as the game wore on and unlucky not to score

I love Walsall FC
Smith has built a team with huge potential in this league, hope he continues to proves I know jack cack about football
I love Walsall FC

A good fighting performance...again a team effort but what a difference Sawyers made when he came on! We deserved our victory but the "gate" was appalling 2,500 fans from Walsall....still those that didn't come missed a treat once more. Keep up the good work.

Cobwebs of these 'loyal' Walsall fans will certainly be blown away now. These lads deserve much more support we are brilliant to watch.

It was cost for me, a someone said if it had been £5 for adults and a kid for a quid I'd have been there. Sometime the club don't help themselves. Still, I'm sure the gate against Chelski will just about top that! I wonder if Sheff will be there?

It was Brighton or Blackpool away. I chose the latter. Hope for the same result!

I know cost can be an issue for some folk and I fully understand that but it was still poor ...the worst of the round in fact even Burton Albion had more!!!!!!

Surprised by that attendance. It felt and looked like a good thousand above that. No doubt one or two more might make the next round.

Brilliant game of football. We were immense in the second half.

We look like a a team full of confidence and for our left-backs to score virtually identical goals in open play within a couple of weeks demonstrate just how well we are playing right now.

Sat in the Away end. For me the experiment worked well. Good fun.

Looking forward to Blackpool even more now.

Scored a rubbish penalty, felt guilty so missed the next, great highlights, great result, great draw.

For the record I was at work, so my cock was not out. It's no-pants Tuesday though, so I was there in commando spirit...

Rico's goal wasn't dis-similar to Taylors on Saturday. Great run, credit to the team for encouraging this type of football.

What an awful decision for the first penalty, that's a shocker. Not seen many poorer penalty decisions than that.

When you consider some of the penalties that don't get given

Another excellent performance by the Super Saddlers! Not as defensively assured as previous weeks but solid enough nonetheless. My only criticism would be that we tried to over play it at times and ended up losing possession. Going forward we are so dangerous, great to watch.

Special praise for Messer's Etheridge, Henry and Lalkovic…

Etheridge - Has the qualities of a really good keeper. Let’s not forget he has only made 20 or so career appearances, compared with O'Donnell's 70 or so when he first joined us. Plenty of hard work required but no doubt he will go on to be an excellent stopper for us.

Henry – With a bit of luck will play at the highest level. Reminds me so much of a young Ashley Cole it’s unreal.

Lalkovic - Has made a huge difference to the side this season. His character, work ethic and quality is infectious. ‘Project Lalkovic’ is alive and kicking!

Bring on the mighty Chelsea, a warm Black Country 'welcome' awaits!

Smith was going mad as just a minute early Bradders was being used as scaffolding and nothing was given then the ref gives a 'bigger club' penalty.

Both penalties were really soft. There's a certain way players go down when they're looking for a penalty, and both of last night's fit that description; arms flailing all over the place.

Thankfully, Chris O'Grady - who looked absolutely woeful by the way - duly did us a favour by doing his best to hit the M6 with his attempt. Sometimes you look at players like him on paper and wish we could bring someone like that in. Last night made me realise the grass isn't always greener in that respect.

Another well earned win against a good but very physical Brighton side who were assisted by a poor ref. Thought we lost possession a lot but never lost heart even after going behind to a poor penalty decision, wondered how we would react after going behind for first time this season, got my answer this team does not give in as we have seen them do before.

Milan got man of the match but other equally as good Richo had great game and deserved his goal, Ethridge made good saves to keep us game first half.

For once Smith made early subs and helped change the game Sawyers drawing the defence away to create space for milans goal and spot on pass for richo to score, also liked Preston agood old fashioned center back.

Even though poor attendence thought the experiment of home fans in away end worked well much better atmosphere sitting in crinkly stand great to hear support all round.

and in the 2nd half from a corner ince hauled o'conner to the floor by his throat. o'conner asked the ref why he let it slide to be told he hadn't seen it.

great game, especially after sawyers turned it around. his strength is such an underrated attribute.
