Cor wait! First time I've managed to persuade the whole clan to come along since Wemberley. Hope we don't put in the same performance!

Be a great day out regardless. Reckon it'll be closer than Reading think, so 0-7 us (all OG), with apologies to Big Bazz.
Asps to be seen crying on the coach home, the result of him stripping, slipping and falling on a cactus, with apologies to 4143.

I lived in Reading for 18 months. Very strange place. In my whole time there I only met one person who supported Reading, which is weird considering they get decent crowds. Most seemed to support Man United.
A repeat of the playoff final would do nicely!

Biscuit-bothering Reading fansite The Tilehurst End asked One Pod Beyond to preview tomorrow's game.
So we flipping well did.

Very much looking forward to this. First time to Reading. The closest I have ever been to going before was putting the University down on my UCAS form in 1969 - got a rejection which perhaps was a good thing! Will go for a 2-1 win & the massive reward of away to Bury in the next round.

Tickets have gone back to RFC. Tickets are available on the day.
Plenty of interest today, hopefully push £2k with a bit of luck.

Re: Reading (A) Emirates F.A.Cup 4th rd, Jan 30th 3pm
Reading Fan here. enjoyed peoples posts so much I joined just so I could comment too! Firstly, as a 40 year old I have seen the best and the very worst of Reading F.C. over the years. I wanted to support Aston Villa but was literally dragged Elm Park as a six year old by my dad as some form of weird punishment. But I guess like you Saddlers fans your team gets under your skin and I have been going every sodding year since! It is true that for many we seem like a 'nice' club with no identity and that may be true to a certain extent but our real fan base are as passionate and committed as any other.
Enjoy the trip tomorrow, some things to look out for..
we have a drummer, he is annoying
we will serve you your local beer in the away end (or we used to do that) so you feel welcome
we will charge you a lot for the beer though
if you have any sense you will concede corners at every opportunity.. we scored from one last week, the first in 187 attempts!!
If you park near the ground you wont get home till June,
if you go to town you might meet our youth firm, I met them once and I laughed .. A LOT
we have some good players, on their day they can match anyone.. we have not decided when that day will be yet this season
I predict a 2-0 home win but would not mind a replay at yours.. away days are always fun!

I was working down there for a while, I lived just off Oxford Road (Lorne Street). Readings version of the ghetto I believe!
The town has some nice features, but I just felt it lacks character and doesn't seem to have much of an identity.

For those unable to be there full match commentary should be available online at BBC Radio Berkshire. As it's the cup there should be no copyright issues so for those of us in the UK we can access at

Best case for today is likely a draw and a return match where we will win in front of a full house! Don't have a good feeling about today for some reason!

It does say on the site that it is only available in the UK, but I'm no technical genius so you might have some way of getting round that. Hope so anyway

Hahah, it wasn't so bad, I grew up on a council estate in Walsall after all, but I think my experience of Reading might have been better had I lived in a better area.

With Gillingham, Coventry, Burton, Wigan and Millwall all involved in League One games this afternoon I fully intend to try and broadcast anything relevant.

I useTunnelbear. It works well on my Android phone, not so well on my PC. I also use Cloud VPN, Hola and Hotspot Shield with varying degrees of success.
