when was the last time we really dragged our self back into a game like that? We managed to win and i hardly heard Bradshaw mentioned all night. He made the changes early enough to change it. Nice to see some other bugger chip in with some goals.

Tremendous.

I fancy us against anyone over two legs. fudge the league off, who cares.

COME ON YOU REDS

Great comeback from the lads!

The Grimes best finisher comment will haunt Smith for as long as the player's with us :)

I hope so mate, but an average of 0.7895 goals per game means I'm not getting too hopeful.

Unbelievable Jeff.

Surely surely a game like tonight makes it destined to reach Wembley.

Hopefully if nothing else this will be a massive wake up call to the players nearly going out twice.

PNE or Notts over two legs won't be easy so still cautious.

Great, great, great result...pity we have to enjoy such euphoria about beating the second worst team in the footy League though...nevertheless bring on Notts County (WE HOPE).

Well, I don't know what to think other than I'm bloody chuffed :D

2-0 down during the match and 4-2 down in the penalty shoot out. Not like Walsall at all.

Questions have to be asked as to how we found ourselves 2-0 down in the first place, but Smith at al were up to the challenge. Looking forward to Saturday now...

I do wish people would stop about us never having played at Wembley. It's only due to the FA that we haven't.1988, play-offs finals were still played over two-legs-for the last season that happened. 2001 we would have played there if Wembley hadn't been closed for renovations. It makes us appear like perennially under-achievers. :?

Still not enough to beat the supers though. :D

When will football managers learn that bringing a player on specifically to take a penalty is NEVER a good idea.

No rabona penalty? Sean Geddes would have scored one. Why did Smith release him? Why didn't he replace him with Falcao. Lack of ambition and technique. They should all have scored Rabona's! Sexy football my ass (to avoid the tempremental 'swear' filter, as in a donkey  ). Smith OUT!

Well done lads and to the management team really, practicing the penalties actually came off. Cain's finish will easily be up for the Ultimate finish comp that the JPT runs.

I told you all that Deano would have a tactical masterplan for the 2nd half.
We are the sexiest football team ever; Deano is the greatest manager since Clough; penalty shootouts hold no fear for the Super Saddlers.
Back in the real world - SadsWorld went awol for most of the 2nd half and penalties; Grimes continues to be grim; Cook - what is the point?
Will be checking Laterooms for hotels around Neasden tomorrow.

It would be so easy to focus on the negativity again earlier in the thread, but having said that if you can be positive when losing 0-2 to a side going out the league then you must be Optimistic!

Lets just enjoy this, we are now so close! The boost we all needed maybe?

Sorry cant help but mention Sallian  More chance of Lindsay Lohan popping round for a cuppa than seeing him....
