Notts County (A) League One 1st Nov, 3pm

Thu Oct 30, 2014 12:09 pm

To Meadow Lane as November starts, to play a Notts County side that is enjoying hugely different form from the last time we were there and came away 1-5 winners. Can't see that happening again this week, to be honest. County are currently 4th in the table, one of four teams occupying the play-off positions, all on 26 points. There's no out-and-out leading scorer, but their goals come from all and sundry - and they're on an 11-match unbeaten run, not having lost in September or October. Current form:

30 Sep Crewe Alexandra (A) Won 0-3
4 Oct Gillingham (H) Won 1-0
7 Oct Scunthorpe United (A) F.A.Trophy Won 1-2
18 Oct Crawley Town (H) Won 5-3
21 Oct Barnsley (A) Won 2-3
25 Oct Scunthorpe United (A) Won 0-1

County have lost 2 games at home in the League, both in August, against Bristol City (1-2) and Fleetwood (0-1), and I think if we can come away with a point that will probably be as good as we can expect. At least our injury situation has improved, and we should have Tom Bradshaw and Sam Mantom available. So far this season in the League we've scored 12 goals, which is co-incidentally the same number that County have conceded - so I'll cross my fingers and go for a nervy 0-0 or 1-1 result.

If bradshaw is fit this fixture is going to be on my both to score bet. If hes not fit it wont. One man team atm sadly and cant see us getting much from this. Will go for a lucky 1-1....for some reason.

Missed last year's game unfortunately, but having seen 2 losses and a draw so far this season will go for my first win ..... 2-1.

Notts County 0 - 2 Walsall

We are well organised at the back and have got a good striker in Tom Bradshaw. Add to that the return of Mantom I think we could have a good day.

Up The Saddlers.

I'll be pleased with anything from this one.
Notts County: 4 shots, 2 on target 1 goal - Walsall: 17 shots 5 on target 1 goal
I'm an optimist! :D

Great news from Spotland the Dale 2-0 up against those 'up themselves upstarts' Preston...I'm nearly as happy at that scoreline as I am about our OG lead, and Burnley's well deserved 'no win' 'bottom place' start in the League they 'deserve' to be in!

OG not good enough then Donald!

Sorry for the absence there.....a load of web 'attacks', and I've had to on/off/on/off in the usual way....

Half-time, and it's 1-1.

Westcarr has scored for Portsmouth.......

We're still 18th in the table - let's have another o.g. in the 2nd half please !!

A point would be a great result against a side who've won their last 6...

Get the feeling this topic will end up 9/10 pages long, if you get my drift...........

Thanks to a penalty (actually being scored!) scrub the above to read 4/5 pages long! :D :D

Some League One updates....

Rochdale 3 Preston 0
Peterborough 1 Scunthorpe 1
Colchester 0 Port Vale 2
Leyton Orient 1 Coventry 1
Sheffield United 0 Barnsley 1
MK Dons 2 Swindon 1

but in the big game, it's still County 1 Walsall 1, but County's goalscorer Thompson is off injured, subbed by Harrad.

Substitution for County Harrad replaces Thompson due to an injury.
