Elsewhere, a very early goal (53sec) sees Preston North End 0 Fleetwood 1
EDIT.... make that 0-2 (o.g.)
Also Yeovil Town 0 Rochdale 1, which lifts us up one place in the table !!! :D

Oldham Athletic 1 Bradford 0 (that man Forte, again)
And we have a corner, 6min.......
In other "local" news, Birmingham City who are already 0-1 at home to Bournemouth, now down to 10 men......
Plus.... Coventry City 0 Peterborough 1 lifts us up another place in the table.
And Bagladies 0 Palarce 1

Chesterfield appear to be the more direct team today.

Barnsley 0 Bristol City 1
(and Bluenoses 0 Bournemouth 3 now)
Gillingham have equalised at home to Crawley, which puts us back into the bottom 4....

Almost as bad as last Saturday except we created a couple of chances and wasted them.

At Crawley we had nearly 30 attempts on goal. Today in the first half we've had 2.
Time to bring Mantom into the action??? And if so, in place of whom? :?

Although Doyle is Chesterfield`s top scorer the main danger seems to be coming from Clucas today.

Coventry City are staging a come-back.... now 2-2 at home to Posh.
Troy Deeney scores for Watford, and Matt Fryatt has scored today for Nott'm Forest.
Edit...Coventry now 3-2 ahead, pushing us down to 18th place

Final score 1-0. Sounds like a "grinding out" result, but a very welcome 3 points anyway. Look forward to reports from those who went to the game.
I'm looking at a train ride to Nottingham next week - where do we get the pre-match beer???? :D

Great to get 3 points despite the muppet in charge. Only saving grace is the signing of Bradshaw. Just think how'd we be with a decent partner alongside him in a 4-4-2
Think I'll avoid his post match comments and stay happy

Far from convincing but a well worked goal from Bradshaw and 3 points in the bag.
Job done.

938 Chesterfield!!!!
How many did we take to Crawley 101?
Timely reminder from a club that is considered smaller than Walsall just how pathetic our support is - even when we are doing well it's dire.

Seems a slightly unfair comparison 332 mile round trip on a Tuesday night with 120 miles on a Saturday afternoon

We would have taken 938 to Chesterfield? Would have been lucky to top 400 - we took 500 there when we were doing really well a couple of Seasons ago with Grigg & Paterson on top form.
So compare that instead.

How about the fact that Chesterfield are still riding the wave of promotion whilst we trudge on with our win one in a blue moon form.

Re: Chesterfield (H) League One 25th Oct, 3.00pm
Loved that. Could have gone either way to be fair, but Forde came on and made a massive difference. Great finish from Bradshaw, just a shame the ref's pettiness means he won't be able to share his joy with fans anymore. Probably a token of how far our collective expectations have dropped when a 1-0 at home to Chesterfield feels so good.
Let's hope this is the start of a run and we can extricate ourselves from the mess we've created for ourselves.
Yay! UTS.
