Leyton Orient (A) League One, Sat. 23rd August 3pm
East London beckons as we try to get the season's start back on the rails, after the disappointment of Yeovil Town. We can at least say that we're undefeated away from home (thus far), and in fact Leyton Orient haven't had the best of starts either. Their form so far:
Aug 9 Chesterfield (H) Lost 1-2
Aug 12 Plymouth Argyle (A) League Cup Drew 3-3 (won 6-5 on penalties)
Aug 16 Oldham Athletic (A) Won 1-3
Aug 19 Bristol City (A) Drew 0-0
Manager Russell Slade has spoken of the efforts needed to establish good relations with the club's new Italian owners, after Barry Hearn sold Orient after 20 years' ownership. Slade doesn't appear to have been restricted in his summer signings though, and some familiar names can be detected in Darius Henderson (Nottm Forest) and Jobi McAnuff (Reading). Some of the usual suspects are still there including Dagnall, Mooney and Lisbie, and you'd think Orient should be challenging near the top of the table having made the play-off final last season.
I'm looking at this game in the same light as the Port Vale fixture - if we can come away with a point I'll be quite satisfied. Let's say 1-1, with our goal coming from super-striker Bradshaw....... :D

Spent money on what would be a very good swuad on Football MAnager but they still lost 2-1 to Chesterfield at home first game.
No reason why we cant do the same.
2-1 win for us, snatching it late on.
Seriously though, who calls their child DARIUS? :o

We're a different team completely away from home, 2-2. Bradshaw rounds the keeper and Grimes gets off the mark.

Thanks for that, Jonny - saves me worrying, about finding a commentary, this Saturday.
Can you be a little more specific, regarding the Grimes goal and are you considering making this a regular feature ? If so, I could cancel my Player subscription and spend Saturday afternoons at B&Q, or in the company of Stelling and Merson.
You do realise that, with this advance information, Messrs Chandler, Hill and James will be circulating rumours of a massive betting scam, centred on the West Midlands.

NB - with this advance information, I'll be placing a series of sizeable bets with Messrs Chandler, Hill and James.
Grimes scores by hitting a first time shot into the near post from a powerful low cross from Taylor, 56th minute.
If you bet this and lose money I am not responsible.

On the contrary, Jonny boy.
I'll be holding you solely responsible, for any losses incurred and sueing for anticipated future financial gains.

Suppose we could settle "out of court".
How much are you worth and what are your future prospects ?
Remember - your answers can (and will), be used, in conjunction with your affidavit if, at a future date, a civil action should arise.
And I'm not prepared to accept "I ain't gorra pot, to piss in - onnist", either.

Err, I've got a very large collection of unused shower gel...
That's about it, onnist.

Re: Leyton Orient (A) League One, Sat. 23rd August 3pm
You tell me of your honesty and I've no reason to doubt your word. Afterall, I assume you wouldn't try to fob me off with gel that had been used, would you ?
However, should your predictions prove false, then things between us take on a whole new aspect.
As you have no friends, to speak of, just think about your family. Anything worthwhile you can nick from them ? Couple of cars perhaps ? The odd dozen or so expensive appliances * ?
* Always remember, not to take the telly, while they're watching it - an all too common mistake.

Err, we got a fridge, but it might be a bit hard to shift on me own. That's all we got, onnistly.
The shower gel I can manage though, most of it aye even in it's container so it makes it easier to carry (and apply).
Another bet would be that Dean Smith will wear a white shirt, I would put my telly on that I would...

I'm beginning to get the impression that, by playing on my sympathy, you are now trying to create diversionary tactics.
You need to take this subject seriously, Jonny boy.
Now, remind me , the match will end 2-2, with goals from Grimes
and Bradshaw, as described. Correct ?
Any additional information you are able to provide, may well prove advantageous.
BTW - we should keep this just between you and I. We can't have others making a fortune, unless, of course, they're willing to pay me for the service. Until then, remember - mum's the word.

Bradshaw will round the keeper, Grimes with a near post finish from a Taylor cross and Dean Smith wearing a white hat.
I'll tell you what, I am so confident these are right that how about you put all of your money, house, access to this website and your method of transport to get to places or people on those bets.
If it all fails, which it surely won't, you av my word that I will pay up in shower gel and kneecaps. I will definitely not delete all my posts making you seem delusional on your bets with no proof to back it up in court. I'm not that kind of person ya see.

Jonny, Jonny, Jonny.
As you managed to spell "onnistly" correctly, why would I not trust all that you tell me ?
However, on this preliminary occasion, I think I may just lay a smallish stake on a 2-2, just to show faith, you understand.
This time, next year, Jonny......

We haven't had the rub of the green against Orient for the last few times we've played them. Red cards and hitting the cross bar (for us). Deflections and 50 yard goals (for them)
I think we'll get a bit of fortune and get a draw.

I think we can get a point out of this one
So, a 1-1 draw, in front of 4,936, including 250-300 Saddlers.

I'd say we deserve something but you have to go out to get something.
The ref will be utterly Shi'ite with no Sunni disposition. Luckily he's jihad enough of East London recently, Walsall to win, 2-1 with a dodgy penalty sealing the deal.

Benning & Sawyers dropped, looks like Bax is playing the number 10 role. (might be Grimes playing there, with Bax on the right).
Forde starts, presumably on the left

Blimey, when you look at their forwards you wonder how anybody could avoid conceding.....
James, Henderson, Mooney, Cox, with Mc Anuff as back up! We could but only dream of a forward line like that.............. :?
