For all the good Smith has done he can be utterly clueless at times when it comes to getting us out of a rut.

According to the BBC, we have had 10 shots and 0 on target.

At least we are consistent...

When we do score a goal it has to be an own goal. 1-1. Still not good enough.

How long before Smith says he proud of the lads for getting a late equaliser and battling till the very end?

And if Lalkovic's shot that hit the bar had gone it, it would have been a different story...yada yada yada...

A poor result? Yes

But we stopped the losing streak and even better Pboro lost and look at their fixtures coming up

MK Dons (A)
Rotherham (H)
Preston (A)
Colchester (H)
Wolves (A)

they also have the JPT final. It's not inconceivable that the only get 5 points from that lot. If we get 10 from our next 4 games, it's very much game on.

Of course the big worry at the moment is the lack of urgency we seem to display. 10 pts seems very optimistic

Sammy Mantom's back on Saturday though. There's still hope. :D

so hitting the bar and scoring an own goal excuses the previous 92 minutes? brilliant.

Lucky.
Until the last 5 minutes we were completely dire.
If the shot at the end had gone in Crwho would have every right to feel robbed if they don't already feel robbed.

It's all too predictable & pedestrian.
If Smith is telling them in private what he's saying in interviews then it's no wonder they aren't changing things up.

The problem is that now we've allowed the chasing pack to catch up it's not just Peterboroughs results we need to go our way.

We need new ideas badly.

Play Baxendale in his proper role in midfield, not on the wing. He was class there last season, but is now getting wasted as a winger, which is a shame since he is top class.

it is right, it wouldn't be impossible to scrape in the six. mk and sheff utd are more of a threat to us than boro.

With respect, it's only the MK Dongs who have overtaken us. They still have 5 of the top 6 left to play, so you wouldn't expect them to get a lot of points from now tip the end of the season.

As long as Walsall pick up a decent amount of points in our last 10 games (say 22 or more :D ) (admittedly optimistic based on current form), then it really only should be Peterboro who stop us getting the last play off place. And they have a tough month ahead.

Anyway should be a good walsall following to rotherham on Saturday with it being a new ground for most of us. Let get behind the lads and get 3 points please.

I think its fair to say that Smiths ridiculously complacent after match interviews are mirrored by his obvious complacent team talks. Why else would they come out performing like this?

Couple that with the fact that he resembles somebody standing for a minutes silence during the match (until the ref makes an error or non error and then him and ROK do the mandatory hands out arms wide) then you have your answer. The fact that throughout his tenure he seems to have the inability to quickly arrest a slide is also evidence that he lacks a good bollocking.

In terms of the side. They say that you should really worry when you are not creating enough chances. What adjective is there for a side that cant create chances and cant score even if they do?
