Crawley Town (H) League One 22 Feb 3pm
As Crawley's game tonight (Tuesday) against Tranmere Rovers has been postponed, let's see what awaits us when they come to ours on Saturday. Assessing current form is a bit tricky as they haven't played in February yet but Crawley's League form prior to that is not to be sneezed at, as their most recent six results show:
14 Dec Preston North End (H) Drew 2-2
21 Dec Leyton Orient (A) Won 2-3
26 Dec M K Dons (H) Lost 0-2
29 Dec Notts County (H) Won 1-0
12 Jan Coventry City (A) Drew 2-2
25 Jan Rotherham United (A) Drew 2-2
Considering the opposition in those six games, that's quite a healthy return. Crawley are currently 19th in the table on 31 points but it should not be forgotten that they have several games in hand over everyone....in fact if they won all six of their games in hand over us they'd be level with Peterborough!!! Scoring hasn't been their strong suit, only 29 League goals against our 36 (but don't forget those six games in hand...), and three players share the leading scorer mantle, Messrs Alexander, Clarke and Walsh, each with 5 goals to his name.
Having beaten Leyton Orient away, and got draws at both Coventry and Rotherham, I think this game will be tougher than some would think. If we can squeeze a 2-1 win I will be very pleased (Westkaka and Magoo). At the same time I'll be watching for Stevenage to upset the form book and use their home advantage to overcome Peterborough. Oh, and Swindon are away at Leyton Orient, while Brentford entertain the Dingles..... :D

We'll smash them 1-0, with our shooting being rubbish the whole game. Westcarr to score with his stubble when a Ngoo shot hits the woodwork and hits him in the face.

It wil be disallowed as his stubble will be offside.

Suprised no betting company has opened up a market to bet on how many times Westcarr will be offside in a game.

A narrow 2-1 win, with Westcarr and Mantom for us, in front of 3,834 [including 138 from Crawley].

Hopefully win 6 nil, that should encourage John 'Vlad' Gregory to piss off back to his crypt.

Crawley to be so exhausted from rowing a boat all the way to Northampton that they succumb to a tame defeat.
Lalkovic to score by standing on Ngoo's shoulders in the shallow end.
Half time entertainment to be provided by Pablo Mills and Westcarr doing some mud wrestling in the centre circle.

Have they got 6 games "in hand" just down to matches being postponed due to weather?
If they won them all they'd go above us
Glenn (I mean John) Gregory on a trip back to the West Midlands - hadn't realised he was still around.

Crawley have not played since 25th Jan so must be abit rusty.
we should attack them from the off and try score within the first 10 mins. If we do then we should win comfortably 3-1.
ngoo x 2 and hemmings.
fallon for them

6-0. A goal for every game in hand they have on us. I just don't know which way, but I'll brave saying us. Ngools galore.

Walsall 1-1 Crawley wouldve said Walsall win if they hadnt signed Rory Fallon. I remember when we played Plymouth away the season Deano saved us he gave Butler a torrid time. Plus we dont defend well against sides with Targetmen

Re: Crawley Town (H) League One 22 Feb 3pm
I disagree about us struggling with teams who have a target man. Butler sniffed out Ricky Lambert when we beat them 1-0, he dominated the likes of Enoch Showumni at Meadow Lane a couple of years back, same with Zoko, Alex Revell etc. We struggle against teams who expose our fullbacks as they are generally the weaker part of what is a very solid defence.
Anyway, on to the game. Given the run coming up and Posh's easier fixtures in the next month - this game is a MUST WIN and anything less isn't going to be enough. Even if we have 8 men and come from 5-0 down to equalise late on.

Interested to see if he will play Ngoogle from the start.
I want to see us attack from the start.
2-0 win for me, Westcarr x2

Re: Crawley Town (H) League One 22 Feb 3pm
An absolute 100% must win game.
I'm praying for a routine 2-0 - even if it's very dull - just to get it done.
I think it may be a bit tougher than that.

Definitely a 'must win'.
Any kind of win will do.
3923 to witness it.

Starting line-up against Crawley Town:
O'Donnell
Purkiss
Benning
Mantom
Downing
Butler
Brandy
Chambers
Ngoo
Westcarr
Lalkovic
Substitutes: Featherstone, Hemmings, Lewis, Chambers, Baxendale, Hewitt, Sawyers.
Of passing interest: Mat Sadler starts for Crawley. Their three recent acquisitions all start from the bench (Fallon, Boateng, Kaikai).
Sky has us as evens favourites to win, the draw is 5/2 and Crawley to win is 13/5.
