I hope, hope, hope he hasn't let the whole team down with his sending off. It says 'Serious Foul Play' as the reason - can anyone confirm why ?

Another home implosion to follow Preston, Bradford and Port Vale.

How very, very disappointing. What makes it worse is that it's against those Franchise ******** .

Worst thing is that it's a treble punishment

1. Penalty / goal - the worst thing that could have happened had he not fouled McLeod
2. Down to 10 for the rest of the game
3. Misses 3 games

Indeed. Just a bog standard foul, however, was deemed to have prevented a goal scoring opportunity

It seems we nearly scored through Downing, but his header was saved. First shot.

On the stroke of half-time we had our first corner. A Paul Downing header (on target) was saved - our one and only goal attempt in 45 minutes, and this with a team full of attackers......

Lost to Dons and no Butler for games against Peterborough, Crawley and Preston.

Port Vale winning and gaining momentum.

Football league moves Posh to a Friday and give us 3 games in 6 days with 8 fixtures in March on boggy pitches.

6th place, all of a sudden looks quite far away.

I blame the FL.

We've been poor but these officials are worse than the clowns that officiated at Stadium:MK.

Stretched for the ball as McLeod went past and clipped him. Clear penalty but very harsh sending off.

It's a double punishment isn't it? Doesn't seem fair to me!

6th place has gone as we speak.....our goal difference is now the same as Peterborough's and they've played a game less, so we're now 7th.

McLeod was straight in the refs face after the penalty was given.
That's what influenced him to produce the red.

Good point. I've seen Downing miss a few good headed chances this season. Gets into good positions but seems a bit powder puff with the headers.

Time for young Matthew Preston to step up take a chance in first team hopefully. Remember Scott Dann breaking through when we were light on defenders when Roper was injured or send off... Let's hope we get the same luck again.

Isn't this his second red resulting in a four match ban?

Not sure - hope not. Would be harsh for a mistimed tackle which didn't even cause injury

Doubtful...his first red was rescinded, wasn't it? (At Brentford) :?

Port Vale 2 Swindon Town 3 now...
Tranmere Rovers 1 Preston North End 2

Sky Bet now has us at 100/1 to win.....I'm almost tempted!!

Professional foul is only a one game ban I think.
