Well, in that case please amend your own language. If you "accidentally" missed off an "s" then you obviously meant to print the word with the "s" included. Think about what you're doing and stop offending everyone else with your drivel.

Excuse me?... I did tell you I was being lazy. I or my kids don't want to read filth.

I've worked out what that means....I have large ones.
Anyway.....We could of gained some serious ground today the way the results went.
It really donalds me off we didn't sign a proper Striker though.

Where do I start on that one? They outfought and outworked us from the first minute and pretty much every player on our team lost their battle against their opposite number. Vale's plan wasn't rocket science, they closed us down fast, tackled hard and got the ball forward quickly but it was far too good for us. Thought their number 21 in midfield destroyed us every time we went forward and our usual slick passing looked tired, slow and laboured. You couldn't argue with the line up Smith chose to start with but I thought we looked light in the middle of the park from the start.

The main problem for me today was that all of the front four were awful. Sawyers touch was off massively, and didn't seem to cope with the close marking. Lalkovic huffed and puffed without much joy and Baxendale was non existent when in reality he needed to step up with Sawyers struggling. Westcarr had one of his mare games and when he got MOTM I was astounded as i'd have took him off first today - surely a Mantom or Taylor could have had it for being average. I like Westy but think he needs to do hold the ball up alot better in games where we struggle and it is obvious to me that Smith doesn't rate or trust Hewitt.

We can't be sexy every week but think (a) the squad definately needs a bit more strength in depth and (b) teams are working alot harder on doing their homework against us. Ah well... hopefully it is a blip. We've had them before and come back strongly so i'm sure it will happen again - these games teach our youngsters as much as the wins do.

Onwards.

(Oh and it was nice to see Lee Hughes get the grief he deserves.)

Pope, Tomlin, Lines, Griffith, Robertson, Dickinson, Johnson - that's most of the Vale side who are over 6ft, including right down the spine of the team. They were pretty much all as wide as they were tall as well. Sure, it's easy to say on paper how to play against us: close us down, stop the full-backs getting forward, compress the play into the middle of the pitch, man-mark Sawyers. But to actually carry it out is a lot more difficult. Vale had the perfect set of players to carry out Adams's game plan and they did it very well. Even so, we did have a reasonable amount of the play and even without creating anything of note we had a few decent efforts on goal. I'm not too despondent. You've just got to realise that with the limitations of our budget we're not going to be able to match every single side in the division. Some days will be like this. It just makes it a bit more frustrating when we don't win the games that we should, such as at Crawley. We've got a top-10 team with a bottom-four budget, and if you want to whinge about that non-stop (and goodness knows, many of our fans do) then you might as well accept now that you're always going to be miserable as a Walsall 'supporter'.

Forget "dont moan 'cause we're better placed than last season". We get a goalscorer or this season becomes a wasted chance. End of.

Have patience people, for the first time in many years Walsall have a team with a lot of potential.I'm sure Smith and O'kelly are trying everything they know to get the team scoring but panic buying wont help.Walsall cant afford to get in a 20 goal a season striker so they need to either slightly change what they are doing to get the present strikers to perform or start scoring from all around the team.People have trusted Smith so far,and as i have said Smith and O'kelly will be frantically trying to sort the problem out.so if you have trusted and supported smith so far, keep the faith he knows where he wants to be in 12 months time.

Blinkin' ek Sid Swifty.....

How long have we got to patient for?

We were promised years and years ago that we would be a Championship club with all the off pitch buisness activities we have.

We believed.

Oh, and we were very disappointing - especially young Romaine. Better next week please. xx

It is possible that we were promised that every effort would be made, but nobody EVER promised that we would be a Championship club.

If you believed that such a "promise" was made, more fool you.

The last time i saw a team that were playing good entertaining football {not necessarily winning every week} but entertaining on a regular basis was in the days of Alan Buckley. So just be patient with Smith because when he does sort the scoring problem out they will be a team worth watching again, but the hardest thing any manager has to do is get his team scoring and playing good football at one and the same time.

You missed out:

No matter how badly the game is going do not deviate from Plan A ... ever! - tick

Don't bother attempting to turn your defender or try to run past an opposing player if there is a sideways .... or even better, a backwards pass available to you. - tick

Well, that was eventful.
Hemmings is a must start.
Lalkovic is useless.
Baxendale can't handle playing against physical teams such as fail.
Gray is a waste of vital money.
O'Donnell will never be able to collect a cross/corner ever.
Defence was pretty solid with the odd stupid mistake.
Thought Mantom had a good game.
Westcarr had his best half of the season (1st half) but was shocking in the next.
Wasn't Romaine's best game in a Walsall shirt but he still showed his colours at times.
Poor attedence for a local derby.
Smith needs to realise when to change it around, not on 70 mins!

another pitiful home performance, fair play to vale though out fought us for the whole game and deserved to win it. still reckon we don't need another striker? fudge gray off and use the money towards someone in a position that we need to improve. ie an out and out striker, someone like pope, caused no end of problems for us today even though I hate to àdmit it because I don't like the guy

Meant off?

Welshy....... Are you saying you never heard or read those promises?

People on here can try and defend the undefendable..... The crowds,as disappointed as they are.....Speak for themselves
Please don't give the just before Christmas one....Something needs to be done.
Again these contracts are being handed out for a reason....It won't benefit us either.
