Crawley Town (A) League One Saturday 24th Nov 3pm
Anyone else going? They serve good chips!
Crawley are currently 22nd in the form table and we are currently 7th, although they are stronger at home 16th and we are stronger away 5th.
Their last six league games -
16th Nov - Carlisle 1-1 Crawley (D)
5th Nov - Bristol City 2-0 Crawley (L)
2nd Nov - Crawley 0-1 Brentford (L)
26th Oct - Stevenage 2-0 Crawley (L)
22nd Oct - Crawley 0-3 Port Vale (L)
19th Oct - Crawley 1-0 Bradford (W)
They also knocked the Pitmen out of the Cup.
I fancy a 1-0 to the Saddlers. Will we start the same team as on Monday night, or bring back Nicky Featherstone?

I fancy a 1-0 win too, with Westcarr getting the winner. Crawley have lost four out of their last five league games and are struggling to score. A good time to play them, and hopefully our first ever win after the 2-2 draws home/away last season.
Attendance 2,903, including 285 Saddlers.

Having seen the football we can play and the chances we can create (or have donated to us on occasion!) I reckon we are going to spank some team or other one day. :D It might be you...
We can't (surely) go on missing so many chances......can we? :?

First time going to Crawley's, ground, but the second time to Crawley itself as me and my dad accidentally went there on the way to Dagenham in the cup a couple seasons ago!
Expect us to win here, 2-0, Westy and Sawyers, with a packed out and full away end.

3-2 away win for the worlds greatest team, Mantom, Westy, & Bax with the goals, celebrated by the 400 super saddlers in attendance.

Many thanks to aaaae for starting this thread - I was about to text someone in desperation, as the internet in this part of Costa del Sol is even slower than my dial-up used to be......after seeing the demolition job on Monday night, this has a similar result look about it - a 0-2 win and I don't care who scores. Incidentally, have you noticed that of the 6 teams above us in the table, 4 of them are playing each other on Saturday? :D

I was told, today, that the Chambers twins will miss the match v. Crawley, following the death of their father. Sad news for the two guys.
From the club's point of view, there are two excellent replacements in Purkiss and Featherstone.

Sad news, and I agree about the replacements. The squad are all very close, so I'd expect them to go out and put a performance on for the Chambers.

Met Mr Chambo a couple of times after some games in the Bonser suite. From what I knew of him, he was a really nice guy and said that Adam and James were having 'the best time of their lives' at Walsall. Knew he had been ill for a while as he was on crutches for many weeks. Said he was feeling better recently though. Very sad indeed. RIP.

Agreed. Some things are more important than football, and this is one of them. Thoughts with the Chambers family right now.

If this was a home match, emotions would be running high I think. Good luck to Adam and James on whats going to be a tough day.

Not many!!! But yes this is one of them. Very sad news, which I can empathise with. Brave boys if they are going to soldier on and play regardless, takes a lot to get on with anything.

Re: Crawley Town (A) League One Saturday 24th Nov 3pm
I played this game on FIFA 14 this morning and we were 2-1 winners. Mantom with a super strike from just outside the box in the first half. Lalkovic scores in the second half, volleying in a ricochet off a defenders head from a shot by Adam Chambers.
Crawley get one back in the last minute, a goal by defender James Hurst after poor control by Downing.
Hardly worth going now is it!

The Chambers twins do indeed play. Team unchanged. People deal with grief in different ways, best wishes to them and all the boys.

Business as usual according to the BBC. 15 minutes gone and 61% possession to the Saddlers. Make it count lads.
Elsewhere, in the 2pm game at the Sixfields, all of Tranmere's 4 shots on target have gone in.

Seems like a slow start, hopefully Deano will get them fired up at half time.

I know they had a couple out suspended/injured, there has to be a lot going on behind the scenes though.
Players told they have to take a pay-cut?
A win for us today would be fantastic. Quite a few of the top ten playing each other.
Come on you Reds.

Lord, we made heavy weather of that in the first half. We are resorting to route one a lot for some reason I can't fathom. Their defence are just eating it up. Sides are evenly matched, we need to use the width of the pitch more, get the full backs overlapping Bax and Milan.

Leyton Orient have a GOAL DIFFERENCE of 25 and Walsall havn't even scored 25, in fact less than 20! This is why the play offs are not going to be made.
2 shots on target after 60mins.
The attacking problems are not being admitted to and this is why there will be no solution and a wasted season.
