As a Swindon fan just want to congratulate your team on their performance last night you played the way we have been all season and we have been tearing teams apart but last night you did it to us. None of our players turned up for the game last night and you deservedly won so fair play to you.
I dont mind admitting when we get beaten fair and square and your scouting on us last friday was spot on to stop us playing our normal game and ironically enough your scout is an ex Swindon player Martin Ling.
All the best for the rest of the season. We hopefully have learnt a lesson last night and we move on if you carry last nights form on unless it was a one off you will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.
Well done Walsall

Thanks for the compliments but they're a bit backhanded aren't they?..... "you played the way we have all season".
We've played like it all season as well and probably could have beaten your lot even if they had "turned up".

...and that, ladies and gentlemen, is how to graciously accept a compliment!

Reading my reply back it does sound like I don't appreciate the compliment. Sorry Bilko, It's nice that you recognise that we played well, I just didn't like the implication that we only won because you played really badly. I think I'm just tired and grouchy.

I don't! I was apologising for being overly critical of him.

Re: Well done Walsall
As much as I really enjoy reading all this praise, and admire the Swindon fans for giving credit where it's due, the one thing I don't get is the following:
For all the talk of us doing their homework on them and stifling the way they try to play, why didn't they have someone watching us at Colchester or Crewe, where we played the same system, and essentially did the same thing, albeit without the clinical finishing? We might have changed our system compared to Saturday, but we've been playing that system away from home for weeks.
I'm really surprised if they didn't expect us to line up the way we did last night. Poor scouting if it came as a shock to them.
