Thank goodness for that! We need those points, looking at the table you need to win to 'stand still'!!

Poor gate though, I do believe the current economic climate is having a profound effect on attendances in the lower leagues, unless you follow the Dingles, Sheff united or Bradford that is!

With the form he's in it's odds on someone will be in for him in January. :-(

Our last 20 goal striker was subbed on 60 odd minutes with Brentford one nil down at home and they proceeded to score 3!

This isn't a problem, we will spend every penny as always on new players.

Vital that we won today considering the fixtures we have coming up. The next month or so will determine whether we are genuine promotion contenders or just a mid-table team.

Agree, it was almost a must win game given the fixtures that are coming up. Thought we were majestic at times, especially after the second goal. Some good performances and we were generally miles better than a poor Stevenage but made hard work of it after we gave them the goal. Westcarr good as was Hemmings, Adam Chambers and the centre halves. Andy Taylor excellent - sign him to a longer contract NOW.

Whilst his struggles make part of me think that he had it coming, we need to remember that we get £30 every 20 appearances. Proper money. 40 appearances is the equivalent of 200 adult season tickets.

Good result and performance today. I'm glad he started with Sawyers, made absolute sense.

I see Tuesday night as a free-hit now. But we have five right tricky fixtures coming up. As said above, if we're within touching distance in the back end of November then we'll have given ourselves a chance as we'd have played the top half in its entirety (including Cov who are top half form-wise).

I can't get my head round that maths.......I must have misunderstood you, but it would appear that what you're saying is:

We get £30 for every 20 appearances, therefore....

We get £60 for 40 appearances, and.........

£60 = 200 adult season tickets, making a season ticket cost 30p

I know we're cheap, but I didn't think we were that cheap!

Ah, the power of prayer.

Straightforward win, but how important it seems waiting for what should be regulation homers to get to time.

Well done the lads.

Mr Westley's post match comments; Gracious as ever:-

On Akins' red card: "There was an arm to the body when he was trying to break free from a headlock.
"I think he [the fourth official] got the needle because I threw a ball on the pitch, and the next minute I'm having a player sent off and no one else had seen the incident."
