The chance creation and shot taking just isn't there. Need much more scoring ambition and chance creating strategy if anything is to be made of this season...One goal a game is not going to cut it. Its no good if a team scores then its 'We can't win this now, lets work really hard and see if we can manage a draw' 90minutes is a long time to create many chances if that is the focussed, continuous and urgent aim. Isn't there any highscoring youth player (even if he's only 16yrs old) in any club in the country that can't even be purchased? Structure of the formation needs to be more GOAL-SCORING oriented rather than where it is at the moment.Its all a shame as the defensive achievements of the defenders and midfield is not being rewarded with similar achievements in attack. A whole load of training and psychological measures needed to increase the goal output....make the forwards listen to a hypnosis CD everyday for n hour "I will score five goals in the next game, I will score five, I will take many shots, I will take many shot, I will not be scared to shoot, I am a goal machine, the goal is very big, the goal is very big..."

and a hypnosis CD for the wingers "I will pass the ball quickly, I will not flaff around for the sake of it, I will create 50 goalscoring chances every match, Beckham is nothing compared to me, I only need a couple of yards to cross the ball....I don't need to beat the fullback for the sake of it....If I get sight of goal I will shoot"

Get Baxendale on two minutes after the first half starts.....and tell him, "...go and win us the game son" He looked neat and lively at Brentford, get him on!

It is indeed a mountain to climb when the greatest ambition in every match is to score just one goal.

If on the other hand they understood that SUCCESS IS CREATING AS MANY CHANCES AS POSSIBLE AND SCORING AS MANY GOALS AS POSSIBLE, then they might have a chance.

Rather than the additional and equally important, or more important assessment of "WE NEED TO CREATE MANY MORE GOAL SCORING OPPORTUNITIES IN A MATCH....NEED TO SHOOT MORE...AND SCORE MORE"

With the best defensive record in the world, you can't win anything 0-0
