BBC website saying were having all the possession?
I'd also feel more comfortable with chambers centre half then Holden, Never rated him!

Terrific to take a point in such circumstances - away to league leaders with 100% record, captain off after 15 minutes, concede a goal...

Character and football.

Hats off to the lads. Real steel in the team now, only two conceded in five away games. At this point last season we collapsed - if we carry on picking points at our current rate, I think we could be in a very happy position come Christmas.

Fantastic result.

This team is tight and sexy mmm.

At least now Butler is suspended we get to see more of Ben "Cafu" Purkiss.

Donald off. Everyone is entitled to the odd mistake - and it gave the team a chance to show what they can do without Captain Marvel: not bad, either! :D :D :D :D

According to my bruv at the game, sending off was on far side but "looked harsh". Apparently we were absolutely terrific in the second half, albeit with a couple of really good saves from O'Donnell. Fantastic spirit in this team.

Pretty happy with that result because it meant I cashed in on the draw. I await the highlights to see whether Butler was an idiot.

Leaves us a bit thin on the ground for central defenders.

Titus Bramble until January anyone?

Local press report describes the Butler challenge as "robust but not malicious" so I would have thought we'll appeal it.

Dean Smith on WM, definitely going to appeal against the red card. He's convinced the ref got it wrong.

We've drawn a lot of games under Smith (I wish Bernie still posted so that we could see his draw percentage), a lot of them have been really frustrating. Today's though must be one of the best and hardest earned. I think a lot of us had a fancy for today which made such an early sending off of such an influential player a sickening pill to swallow.

I hope we launch a successful appeal but we are thin at centre-back so maybe we might look to strengthen in that area as it is a position where injury and suspension are nearly inevitable.

Looking forward to getting reports from the folk who were there but it is another day where our team has done us proud. It's good being us just now.

In the circumstances, easily the performance of the season according to the E&S's man at the game. Praise indeed.

Wouldnt be suprised to see a loan in, but i reckon he might play Chambers there or play Holden, and wait and see if they are capable.

Wasn't at the game today but simply stunning result under the circumstances. Could easily have rolled over when Butler got sent off but for the first time in a long time I still feel we stand a good chance in games if we go a goal down, and that is full credit to this bunch of players that Smith has assembled and that "never say die" attitude. It's brilliant to see and fantastic to be the first team to take points off Orient who have had a faultless start to the season.. until today  From comments I've read, I think we stand a chance of a successful appeal on Butler's sending off but it will still be interesting to see the challenge later on. I do fear for the next few games though if Holden has to come in - lovely guy and a grafter don't get me wrong, but simply not cut out for this level. Worst case scenario and Butler is suspended for 3 games - I'd rather see Chambers at CB and Purkiss at RB. Very, very good point and should put everyone in a positive frame for next Saturday which will again be another difficult test.

Why are people suggesting James Chambers at CB? Purkiss was signed and played his first friendly at centre back, he's a right sided defender who can play both in the middle or wide. I hope it's Purkiss there and Chambers next to him, Holden's just too much of a risk. Not even in the 16 today was he? FWIW we had Butler's red card at Hartlepool successfully appealed the season before last just in time to play Sheffield United on a Tuesday night.

Just saw it on Sky, 50:50 ball and Butler definitely got to the ball first, and with only his left foot. Inevitably he went under the Orient player, as you always will if you're in first for the ball in a head-on challenge, but his right foot was not in a dangerous position, and he had every right to make that challenge.

It was a solid tackle, but IMHO fair, so I'm not convinced that it was even a foul, never mind a red card. That appeal has to succeed if there's any justice.

Pleased to hear that Geoff, look forward to seeing the highlights for myself.
