Listening up here in windy Orkney - what a result - although had to go and feed the cat 3 minutes into injury time as pressure was getting to me!! Last 2 wolves fans on Radio Dingle have been magnanimous - and I'm just loving hearing a Dingle admit that we just footballed them to death!!! COME ON!!

In fairness, most of the Dingle fans on WM are being very complimentary to Walsall and are readily admitting we thoroughly deserved to win. Wasn't expecting that sort of reaction, but fair play to them on this occasion.

What a great night!! :) :D :P

I wasn't going out tonight, but I've decided to get up to my local (The Swan on the Pelsall Road) now, as the gaffer is a Dingle - just can't resist, gorra be done, off for a shower. :P

Cracking result canny wait to hear the feedback. Wolves fans paying us credit on their forum too.

Strange thing to think but I kinda hope Brandy and Grigg saw this result tonight and remember what it is like to be part of a super team like we have rather than the big time charlies!! Tonight really epitimised what being a Saddler is all about, we don't have to win the league to be victorious, we just need to put in the effort and take each game as it comes!!

Fair play to those two Wolves lads who came on at the end there.
But, what a night!

Million pound McDonald bossed by Nick Featherstone, a free transfer from Hereford.
Griffiths anonymous, shackled by Butler.

Every man in that team tonight deserves praise, they all played their part.
Tonight Butler joins the greats with his contribution at both ends.
Chambers, wonderful caper with his ludicrous bandage and shorts antics.
Westcarr - if he never scores again, he will be remembered evermore for his hilarious insistence on substitution protocol - totally taking any sting out of the Dings they had left.

But above all of that....
The ultimate complement - 'Walsall footballed them to death.'

Those last two Wolves guys on WM were very generous in their praise of Walsall and full marks to them for it.

As for those who preceded them - what planet do they live on? Wolves have the best ground in the division, the biggest fanbase and the biggest wage budget. I hate to say it but they also have a good manager (not as good as Deano, though!). They have had a great start to the season and now they have finally lost a match. Big deal!

Ffs, what do some of these morons want and expect? That is a rhetorical question, by the way. I know the answer really!

Absolutely amazed at the first two Dingle callers!!

Tonka was more of what I expected....and also the reaction to the match report on the Express & Dingle. Have to say WM was a lot, lot better tonight, maybe they are paying attention!

Tonka thinks so as, apart from the Gillingham game, they've been "abject" all season apparently! First eye-witness account from a Saddler hit by a season ticket wins a Bhatti Brothers memorial carpet.

Boom! Butler, two defenders, the goalie and the ball end up in the net. Butler celebrates unscathed while the remnants of the Wolves defence is swept up with a dustpan and brush.

I know it's awfuly rude to quote oneself but when Butler ran past us, fist clenched and saying "boom" it was fudge brilliant.

Him taunting the Dingle fans at the end was fantastic and i'm now trying to convince the missus that our soon to be born son is to be named Andy. :D

She ay avin none of it but i'm gonna work on her.

What a night... the coffin lid was already down on Wolves and Andy Butler has knocked the last nail in.

Credit to the whole team though. To a man they put as shift in and did us proud.

There is not a match report that could ever put into context how "professional" and well fought for win that was.

Right from the first whistle, They were focused, battling and they did half the job just keeping the Wolves crowd quiet, not a fudge peep all game.

Every single player tonight, the goalkeeper got a standing ovation for one save, his best performance by a mile but was largely untroubled as we looked solid as a rock.

We hit the post twice, Sawyers could have scored clean through and how Ikeme was not sent off i dont know, the ref bottled it but by and large he had a good game.

Even Lalkovic played well when he came on, all the subs were spot on.

Superb, superb, superb. Get your arses down the Bescot, your missing out on something special evolving here.

More possession, more shots on target, we hit the woodwork twice, we should have had a penalty in the first half and their keeper should have been sent off in the second. Thoroughly deserved win, the margin could easily have been bigger. My favourite night as a Saddler since Swindon with Dicky Dosh.
