I live not far from Wolvo and have just heard "ees gorra gew" in the distance followed by a groan echo accross the still night sky.

Great result, sounds like Vale fans aren't happy, but we're due a cup run, let's hope this is the start of one.

Wolves knocked out in their Cup Final at Morecambe, such a shame for their lovely modest fans. Can't wait for Franksy's show on WM tomorrow. Large box of tissues will be at the ready to mop up the tears!

That's mainly because of the utter crap that's been spouted by Franksy and their fans on Radio Dingle these last few days, mate - it's been truly sickening.

Another thing, of course, is that they are now back in OUR division, so any loyalty that remains from time I spent at Molineux during my formative years, is well and truly despatched to the furthest depths of my mind while they are our close rivals.

You can't help but laugh at 'em, can you?

Good start to the season but lets remember we had a similar start last season so i'm not getting carried away just yet!

Sounds like O'Donnell should have done better for their goal but going forward we looked dangerous.

The BBC seem to be having a torrid time of it: Westcar scores in the headline, but it's Hemmings in the text. Doh! :?
And they keep seizing up!! :(

just got back from the match

wasnt the prettiest of matches and we certainly didnt play to our best but the result is what matters
we started a bit slowly and allowed vale to get on the ball easily.
vale were very good at direct passing but not long ball they had some accuracy with their long passing especially out on the wings
you could see that the threat from vale was going to come from crosses in for them to test our goalie.
we took the lead just before the break against the run of play i couldnt see who it was from our end or how it was scored but still celebrated it like it was a scorcher/!
we came out 2nd half and again let vale play the football
dont get me wrong theyre no real madrid but deserved to equalise and guess what ---- came from a long cross from the wing for some tall bloke to header it in past the helpless keeper.
just as the game was starting to ebb away we bought on sawyers for that chelsea lad whos name i cant spell and he made an immediate impact as everything went through him
the passing got slicker the play was more in their box and we create some good half chances
just as it was looking like another 30 mins bexendale cut into the box and unleashed an unstoppable curler past their goalie
lovely well worked goal and won us a game that we barely deserved to but ill take it
2 wins a cup run and were scoring goals onwards and upwards

to be honest mate that's a very good sign for the season ahead being as we lost 40 odd goals from last season

The Sky reporter said Westcarr's shot hit the bar and Hemmings scored from the rebound, and then instantly the presenter said "so that's three goals in two games for Craig Westcarr." The BBC report says Adam Chambers's shot hit the bar and Hemmings scored from the rebound, and then credits Westcarr for the goal.
Radio Dingle are too busy trying to find a Wolves U18s game to cover on Second Round night now they have no local clubs left in the League Cup, so they haven't yet credited anyone with the goal.

The joy on Baxendales Cannock when he came to our supporters celebrating his goal was worth the journey on its own.It was like this :D
Port vale looked OK though,I think they will win more than they lose.
