It doesnt matter we were playing a team with Chris Westwood in defence, the fact is we won convincingly, as we rarely ever do in pre season.

It's the age-old friendly paradox, ay it? Win convincingly and it's "only Alfreton". But if we'd lost there'd be a few on here only too keen to man the lifeboats.
Anybody read the E&S report on Wolves' game against another Conference side last night? Wrexham much the better side in the first half before the former European champions sneaked it 2-1.
PS Alfreton beat Wrexham 4-2 at the Racecourse Ground last season. Just saying!

They also battered a Sheffield Wednesday XI 14-0 two pre-seasons ago.
Last night was very encouraging, the new players seem to just naturally slot in to our style of play.
Looking forward to the home games now when we'll get a more realistic feel for how good this side might be.
