Re: Bury ( H ) Sat 20/4/13
Not sure about Duke's situation, possibly work commitments are getting in his way...whatever, here's a Duke-style look forward to Bury.
They have already been relegated to League Two, but perhaps more worrying from their point of view is their financial position. Their manager is on record as saying that some of his first-team players are playing for nothing, and their lack of strength is shown by the fact that they were only able to name two substitutes for the most recent game (when they actually beat Scunthorpe). The last 6 games:
WON 2-1 against Scunthorpe (home) 16th April
LOST 0-1 against Oldham Athletic (home) 13th April
LOST 2-0 against Hartlepool (away) 6th April
LOST 2-0 against Leyton Orient (away) April 1st
DREW 2-2 against Crewe Alex (home) March 29th
LOST 4-1 against Bournemouth (away) March 23rd
Bury's last 10 games read: Won 2, Drawn 1, Lost 7. Recent attendance at home to Scunners was well below 2,000.
Bury's away record this season: Won 3, Drawn 7, Lost 12. Goals 20-39.
Our need for 3 points has to be a huge motivation for a positive performance. No team news from either camp as yet, but I'll go for a 3-1 Saddlers win - with anxious eyes turned towards results affecting Swindon, MK Dongs and Leyton Orient.....

Nailed on away win, with a Richard Taundry hat trick who deflects three well wide Bury shots past Johnstone, as he warms up on the sidelines.

4-1 Walsall.
Brandy to have 724 shots and and not score, but win us 3 penos, and tear their left back a new jacksie hole.

A 2-0 win for us, Westcarr and Grigg [pen] with the goals.
I have no idea what the attendance will be, but it should top 5,000 with around 250 from Bury [they always seem to travel well].

Re: Bury ( H ) League One Sat 20/4/13
I'll go along with the view that we WILL win this one, possibly 3-0?
But...I think that with the bubble almost burst on our play off ambitions, many will have lost interest and may 'stay away' feeling that 'end of season' lost-cause mentality, so expect a mediocre gate, probably a smidgin under 4K.
All eyes on 'other' matches though, that may turn our mathmatical 'faint chance' into a heart pounding fixture at Crewe? Ya neva know.......... :)

Since I have been doing my very very very accurate predictions we have never lost!
When I took the time to try and study the form we never won!!! By my reckoning I'm the catalyst for this good run of form

I only have next week to do and we will be in the promised land ????

It would be a very decent gesture if those who choose at the end of the match to run on the pitch show the travelling faithful of Bury the same support and respect we showed Stockport County fans a few years ago. The applause of the home fans to the supporters of the already-relegated away fans was really well-received on Stockport message boards.
Proper clubs. Proper fans.

You could throw them your cravat in the same coquettish-yet-hysterical manner in which a screaming housewife throws underwear at Tom Jones in concert.
A truly fitting, and memorable, tribute.

That could get expensive. 100% silk, my cravats. However, I would be willing to consider donating a signed copy of the latest issue of When Saturday Comes (in which I have a modest article decrying the current state of football punditry) to the Bury Supporters Trust fighting fund. And perhaps a monogrammed handkerchief.

Re: Bury ( H ) League One Sat 20/4/13
If it were monogrammed BS, they may see that standing for "Bury Supporters", until they read your article when, if they are unappreciative, they may assume it stands for something else.
As for the 100% silk, it's because they're worth it. And Bury isn't that far from Macclesfield.

2 nil to the saddlers.
Grigg and Paterson to score.
4336 attendance with 177 from bury.
Swindon to get hammered 6 nil today.

Baxendale back in for Westcarr, otherwise unchanged. Bury have only named two subs again, but they do have their quota of Sodjes as one of them!

I used to play cricket with Peter Shirtliff (Assistant Manager at Bury) for Rockingham Colliery before he rose to the dizzy heights of playing football for Sheffield Wednesday.
We still need a win here though Bury have started the brighter.

Same for me. Bury commentary keeps breaking up too. Thought it was because I am listening in a cafe on the Isle of Eigg in Scotland.
Have missed the goal?

Unfortunately Swindon are 1-0 up also. Come on Stevenage.
