Just think that late Scunthorpe goal will inspire Swindon to a win on tuesday. They wont lose to Crewe anyway.
See Wolves next season

It's actually 5 draws in 6 games.

Just under 500 Saddlers at Glanford Park.
Apparently their keeper made a great save from Brandy right at the end :( .

We've kept up with gaining a point per week on 6th place.
After Bury - equal on points but behind on goal diff.
After Crewe - In the playoffs by 1 point.
Believe!

Dissapointed as that was our big chance and to concede late was a disappointment... but on the other hand the unbeaten run continues and things went our way otherwise so a point gained is a point gained

If we score 23 or 24 goals against bury that (if Swindle beat crewe) will help our goal difference massively and would make them needing 6 points from 9 not 5

Gutted. :(
But positive! :D
What a season. :D
And it ain't over yet. :D
But what a bummer that equaliser was. :(
Did they deserve it? :?
Were we complacent or unlucky? :?
Still positive. :D

Re: Scunthorpe United (A) League One 13/4/13
Just got in. Absolutely gutted. Particular when for once I could hear that things were going our way in other games.
We were definitely second best in the first half, pretty poor in fact & we were lucky to not be behind, but when we took the lead it looked like there was only going to be one winner. But sadly like last Saturday we did not make the most of our chances when leading 1- 0. They did not look like scoring... until a simple cross & header showed how wrong I was to think that. Even then Brandy had an absolutely glorious chance to win it .I was right in line and though it was a tight angle he looked certain to score . He hit it really hard but it seemed to be straight at the goalkeeper who made a good save. On such things are chances of play-offs won & lost.
I know it makes a great change from wondering whether we will make 50 points but at this moment I feel very depressed.
Next Saturday am going to be listening to commentary in a cafe on the Isle of Eigg that has wi-fi, and perhaps Swindon will have lost on Tuesday & hope will rise again, and I will get my train ticket to Crewe.

Why when we are 1 up and not chasing the game bring Baxendale on. Surely Featherstone would have been the better choice to try and see the game out.

I would have brought Baxendale on a good 15 minutes earlier.
Oh an ps ... though I'm not a singer I thought our support was excellent. Liked the one about Scunthorpe fans getting in for a fiver.
Scunthorpe's first chant was in the 90th minute.

So so so gutted when that goal went in. We weren't good today apart from some of the 2nd half. After they equalised we had a couple of amazing chances that just didn't quite go in, they're going to be spinning around in my head all night.
Swindon are so bad at the moment, we need to hope they keep messing up.

Broken hearted with the equaliser but 6 points may be enough you never know, thought we made a good racket today, love that ground.

Re: Scunthorpe United (A) League One 13/4/13
Just got back and am still feeling a bit down in the dumps, one of those draws that feels like a defeat.
First half was the worst I've seen us play in a good while. We couldn't get any sort of grip on the game and the forward players were making no impact at all.
Second half we were better and the stand went crazy when Grigg scored! As their goal was down the other end I couldn't see what happened too well, but their winger did seem to be one on one with Patterson, who had a very good game but defending isn't really his forte, so I would have to ask where Chambers was.
We'd be in the top six if we'd won and part of me feels our chance has gone. However, there is still hope and there's no point worrying about other teams as we just have to get six points now and see what happens.

Re: Scunthorpe United (A) League One 13/4/13
Utterly gutted, the team just didn't turn up today, that equaliser was like a blow to the heart.. dream over, too many points thrown away recently...on the massively positive side, I had a great day out with Belgian, met Asps, Brummie, SOTV,etc. Asps flow of Jaeger Bombs throughout the entire pub was Mossive!!
Fanatical and verbal support was phenomenal, and good to see many new faces, hope they continue to turn up next season!
Belg, has asked me to do some huge moans, but I feel that the season has seen an incredible turn around, pity that Scunny were 'there for the taking' but we fluffed our lines today, perhaps the young 'uns were feeling the pressure. So heres to a gigantic response against Bury & Crewe to keep the pressure up on our close rivals for that lost/last final place in the play off's.
Love yow all..Up The Saddlers for ever............

Same. Thought overall the result was fair as we were awful in the first half and lucky not be losing. They missed a few sitters throughout the game. By the way, I thought Sam Johnstone was excellent, especially in the air and kept us in the game time after time. Still gutted about the equaliser and can't believe that Brandy didn't score at the end - it looked certain.
Our fans were in especially good voice and I didn't hear a peep from the Scunny fans until the last few minutes.
I believe we can make the play-offs now more than ever before - despite week after week me saying each game is a "must win" and then us drawing, we're now in a better position than at any time previously in the season, and were even in the play off positions for half an hour or so during the game.
Come on me babbies!!! UTS!

Re: Scunthorpe United (A) League One 13/4/13
Fantastic day, one of those game that will be looked back on fondly (before kick off) was great to see so many good walsall faces in the pub on the retail park, asps was in sparkling form. was good to meet ancient moaner (he doesn't look that ancient!)
we made a great noise in the ground, would like to get a scunny view on our support, was lovely to have a low roof.
maximum credit to the lads and deano for what they have achieved, but if we miss out on the play offs it wont be because we were unlucky, just simply our own downfall, a couple of dodgey results is fair enough, but we have had the initiative alot lately and bottled it.
O well, lets not loose sight of the fantastic turnaround the team has seen in 12 months!
