Johnstone - 8 Faultless minus the odd dodgy kick he knows how to waste time, how to save a shot, come out for a corner or cross he does the whole job.
Chambers - 7.5 caught out of position a few times where his brother covered but that comes with his attacking role. Doing well I hope we have both him and Purkiss next season.
Butler - 8 solid and confident did run himself into trouble the odd time but I would say that was the pitch more then him
Downing - 8.5 my MOTM he does his job so well consistent like Butler but without the hoof gonna be a major star I think.
Taylor - 8 great performance though I fear he will be out for a while clearly took a hamstring knock again and deano had a sub ready but sat them back down.

Mantom - 8 Same as chambers
Chambers - 8 Solid as ever though he often seemed out on the wings compared to being in the middle.
Paterson - 9 Fantastic real good energy and he scared the cov defence when he ran at them unlucky with a great run at the end.
Baxendale - 7 ran around a lot and made a few passes but had more go astray not his best but it was his first game in a while so I think he'll hit the form again.
Westcarr - 8 Worked hard and didn't quite hold the ball up as well as usual but his penalty was superb and his other goal was pretty good to. Fantastic pass to set up the 4th.
Brandy - 8.5

The ref was terrible and so was the linesman but surprised he didn't have Westcarr off for time wasting and dissent.
I think we weren't as good as other games this season passes went astray, for a brief 5-10 mins we went really scrappy in the second almost kicking them off the pitch for doing it to Brandy and for a while in the first half it looked like one of those days where it wouldn't go in.
But credit to the team it shows how far we've come when I can think I've seen us play better overall but be so clinical in front of goal to get a beautiful scoreline.

Coventry gave up after 2-0 so not surprised half the fans left.. covs sent off man was Jordan Stewart who we had on trial he was bloody awful, he was that bad our whole section wished he hadn't got sent off as they played better without him.
Bet Brandy and J Chambers are glad the games over both of them at one point took a ball in the bollocks

Brandys tackle on one of their players in the first half was immense, left him in a heap and they just got a throw in, nothing more!

It was firm but fair, correct decision. My only complaint was that he didn't launch him over the wall.

Couldn't be more pleased today - each player to a man was superb and Coventry got the hiding their odious club deserved.

It's not just that we're winning these games but it's the way we're doing it. Immense.

Brandy today was immense! Going forward he was at times unplayable, particularly when they were down to ten men.

But he also epitomised the work rate and team spirit that the whole side displayed. In the first half he covered for both full backs when they were caught up the pitch, and for Adam chambers when he hadn't made it back in to position after a lung bursting break forwards.
Then in the second half at 3-0 up, he bust a gut to get to a ball harmlessly dribbling out of play for a Coventry throw in, which every other player on the pitch appeared to have accepted.

They kept kicking him and knocking him down, primarily because they couldn't get anywhere near the ball when he had it, and he kept getting back up.

Great skill, great attitude, my MOTM.

We have our Walsall back, pride, passion and belief.
I have always installed in my two kids that watching Walsall is all about character - sticking with them through the tough times so a day like today is even sweeter. The joy from beating Coventry and the manner in which we dispatched them was
the best Easter present ever.
Proud of all the Players , but oh how I wish we could keep Brandy, what a game he had.

Today was a thing of majesty and beauty.

1,500 more Walsall fans than were attending earlier in the season. If you're one of them, welcome back - it's good innit?

They may even return next week as its a tenner in the top tier for an adult and 2 kids. Just a big as game, and the Blunts might bring as many.

Agreed. The Blades brought 1,500 last season on a Tuesday evening when in a similar position in the League to where they are now*. They should have anything from 2,000 to 2,500. We had 5,045 there today - would it be too much to expect 5,500+ of us, particularly when you consider the importance of the match, the ticket offer and the fact we have just won 4-0 playing superb football?

* The same result and performance would do me just fine too.

Well, it doesn't go to Bonser that's for sure. I would have paid in today to be fair, but I ended up with the pleasure of socialising over beer with mates, and watching the goals roll in on Sky, so I'm happy either way. The saved £18 bought us a Chinese tonight too!

Would seriously love to 'do'em' they will think that we are but just a 'stepping stone' to thier rightfull place in the automatic promotion places, but they aye really that good at all are they? Carlisle at home 0-0 who are they kiddin!!
Thier 'scalp' would be a tremendous double whammy in our quest for the 'golden fleece' that is the 'play off's'.

Come on you reds (not the stripey ones!).

Anyone got a link for the offer for Saturday's game, just looked on the official site, and can't see anything, had a good search.

Kids went today, loved it, want to go again. Super Saddlers, best team in the world.

*edit*

Found it.

Only a thousand off  To be honest was suprised it was that low when i was in the ground. They even decided to open up the turnstile*that block was full) and they weren't handing out tickets.

There was a few blokes around by me who looked suspiciously old school hooligan who had made a sort of comeback. :D

According to both official sites we've only given Sheff Utd 1500 (again).

Be a shame if we don't increase this. I see we can't get tickets for the 5 season stand again so dunno if we're hedging our bets a bit but haven't seen anything about moving our fans as we did today. All a bit confusing. If they could flog 3,000 I'd give them 3,000 - more money (minus old bill costs) to the Brandy fund.
