About time we scored, I've just tucked my lucky jumper in 80's style in the hope of some goal mouth action.

Squeaky bum time, they are just as likely to get a late goal as we are. :(

Finished 0-0, sounds like a fair result in difficult cold windy conditions. Not a good result for either side, but with Yeovil only drawing after being 3-1 up at the end of normal time, and Coventry losing 2-0 at Pompey, there's still some hope.

Agree, but that was a great opportunity missed..I think we all agree on that.

Crap result, crap day, crap weather. We missed Grigg and Featherstone sounded like his cameo in that role last week was a one-off. Let's get as many as possible signed up for next season. Season over IMO.

Re: Hartlepool United (A) League 1 Saturday 23/3/13.
I'm disappointed, but not surprised due to the starting eleven. Is it really necessary to play three grafting midfielder and no out and out striker against a struggling team that hasn't scored for ages.
Still, the conditions can't have helped and the team has done us proud already this season so don't want to complain too much.
Other results aren't as bad as they could have been. It's win or bust against Yeovil now though. Will Grigg be back by then?

Well done, Carlisle! Again 2 goals in the 90th minute give us a lifeline.

Don't understand why there seems to be a rush to sign everybody, clearly there are some who are just not good enough, proved by the inability to beat the bottom of the table side. Plenty of time during the close season to pick up better players.

Not just yet Sadders, we still have an outside chance, even more so if Grigg is back for the run in. However, we must look to get three points on Good Friday as Yeovil, along with Tranmere, can both be overhauled for that final play off spot.
It will also help if Stevenage can get something at Tranmere tomorrow.
Quick fact: that was Hartlepool's third successive 0-0 draw at home.

Not over yet but really need a Stevenage win tomorrow for a real chance, then Yeovil game almost becomes an early playoff final for us.

Fat lady is clearing her throat but isn't warbling just yet.
Will have felt like a defeat for Yeovil today.
We need to win there next Friday to keep it alive, they will feel they need to win too so it should be a cracker.
Result today not a disgrace, sounds like it could have gone either way. Look forward to hearing from the hardy souls who made it up there.

Re: Hartlepool United (A) League 1 Saturday 23/3/13.
It's not technically over, but we have to win 5 from 6 and in that process beat Coventry and Sheffield United at home, Yeovil away - that won't happen. Then you have Tranmere, Yeovil, Swindon and Doncaster all with 1 game in hand, Brentford with 2 games and Sheffield United with 3 games in hand - when all of those have been played and settled we will be 6 or 7 points behind with only a couple of games left. It'l take some monumental disasters and a few miracles for us to make it know.
Whilst I'd agree with Cully not needing to sign everyone. Clearly Grigg, Brandy, Chambers, Butler, Paterson and so on are needing to be signed up.
I'd release -
Holden
Hemmings
Featherstone (Can't decide, bit lightweight for me)
Westcarr (We can get better)
I think Bowerman NEEDS a season of bulking up, as the only thing he's good at is poaching. He has no other re-deeming qualities, no pace, no height, no back to goal skills.

Agreed, I do think that we need to win the next two to stand any chance of making the play-offs though.

Is Bowerman already signed up for next year? I'd of played him in this game instead of Featherstone

Agree we are running out of games and promotion is looking less likely but what you've typed is nonsense.
I'd take being 3 points off the play offs with 2 games to go (i.e where we are now but with 6 games to go!, so would just need same/slightly better results than teams around us over Easter). Think we can get 6 points from our last two games which might just get us into 6th place.

A poor result highlighting just how important Grigg has become to the side.
If he's out at Yeovil I fear the worst.
We can and must win on good friday.

As much as I would love to see Hemmings shown the door by Walsall's standards it would cost a small fortune. Loan him out or offer him for free and we pay a % towards his wages.

Bowerman is out of contract at the end of the season if I remember rightly?
