Re: Hartlepool United (A) League 1 Saturday 23/3/13.
They picked uo some form not long back, but have now gone 4 games without scoring. Our defence is strong and we're scoring goals for fun so I expect us to win. We need it going into the tough Easter games. I also think they'll have a rocket up their bums and a wake up call for not performing that well yesterday, and will come back in style.
3-0 to the Saddlers a la Carlisle.
Brandy, Paterson and Adam Chambers.

It should be to our advantage that they have a tough relegation battle, at Oldham, on Tuesday.

Tempted but it's a trek from Swansea. Just had a look at train fares - £130 return

Small change for a man of your wealth. Have you tried searching for tickets that mean you change at London, then Liverpool, then Nottingham, and stand on your head for at least half if the journey? If so you'll probably find one for a tenner.

The druids don't allow planes over Wales (or "metal dragons" as they call them) it upsets the sheep, turns their milk sour and makes them less likely to accept the amorous advances of the local men folk.

That must be why we have an airport (Cardiff) which has no flights out of it most the time.
No chance of getting to Hartlepool from Cardiff without going via Amsterdam.

Standing on your head seems acceptable, but going through Liverpool? Full price seems a better bet

Had been due to meet up with "Guest" on his Easter sojourn from Hong Kong.
Unfortunately, he is currently laid up in hospital in HK and has been forced to cancel his trip.
Get well soon, Pete!

It's just a ruse so he can cancel his flights and come over for Wembley instead.

I'm in. Now I just need to work out how to get from York to Cardiff in time to catch the flight to Amsterdam.

Sneak a win, we must be due a penalty, we haven't had one for what seems like an age. Blatant one turned down again Saturday too.

Assume Grigg's on International Duty this weekend?
I'll be there; always had a soft spot for the Pool with their illustrious neighbours no doubt constantly ridiculing them;- mind you , not impressed with £25 a ticket.

I don't have total confidence in our ability to come away with 3 points from Hartlepool. Remember, they held us to a draw at home, and that was when they were so deep in the brown stuff they were practically in the Conference. As we've seen this season we seem to play well against (and get results from) the high-flying sides but struggle when playing basement teams.
On the BBC League table predictor I've got us down to get a draw 1-1...... Andy Butler with a header from a Paterson corner.

They're not exactly basement on the form guides though. Unbeaten in at least six at home too (might be more, can't be bothered checking). They might be a long shot but a lazy fiver on them staying up might be in order.

Yes, this is a sticky one, but we should win. We have too.
Can see us losing 4-0 or something ridiculous though
I wonder what will happen without GRiggy.

Probably going to need to win 5 of the last 7, not leaving much room to play with.

Most away trips id agree on that. But we should be looking to beat Hartlepool really.

Especially as they haven't scored or won for 4 games.

Hartlepool 0 - 2 Walsall.
Bowerman
Brandy
I'm going all out with confidence.
0 - 0 after 45 minutes. Dean to tell the lads at half time this is a must win and a Gung ho 2nd period ends with Walsall winning 0 - 2 but should have really been more.
Other games to look out for:
Sheff Utd v Brentford (H)
Bournemouth v Bury (H)
Carlisle v Yeovil (D)
Portsmouth v Coventry (D)
Preston v Leyton Orient (D)
Scunthorpe v Doncaster (A)
Swindon v Notts County (H)
Tranmere v Stevenage (H) (SUNDAY)
I think it's Yeovil we're chasing, hopefully Coventry and Tranmere will lose points on the way too (unless we start getting resounding victories to sort out out goal diff).
