In shock but absolutely delighted, I find it hard to believe that we have a chance of the playoffs. We can't afford any major injuries to have a chance but you just never know. Is this really the same team that got thrashed by Scunthorpe and Coventry only a few months ago?

We have luck on our side, we have confidence, we have players who can play a bit and a solid enough defence.
Nowt to fear.

I know, I'm such a trend setter.
Nice little win with the bookies as well, 5/2 for the Walsall win.
Dear dear, Cully, how can a man of your intelligence have missed the widely available 3/1
Damn, I only went on the Ladbrokes site :( The play off qualification with them is looking better week by week at 40/1 and I got those odds on 18th Jan.

Watching SSN this afternoon there were plenty of empty seats at the custard bowl. Glory hunting bastards that they are.

Always worth a look on the Oddschecker website before a punt, Cully.

They still had more than 23,000 to see a team that's only won 4 games at home all season, and scored 18 goals in 15 games. Bunch of masochists (and that's being kind)

A tremendous win, and let's hope we have over 5,000 next week, because they deserve it!
Suitable revenge for the opening day defeat too.
UTS.
Edit - we are only NINE points off top of the table. And that after a 13 match league run without a win
Yes, westcarr coming on did change the game

Absolutely fantastic result. These are the results we'll need to keep churning out regularly if we are to make the top 6.
Only 9 points off the top - although automatic is surely beyond us, I think we can catch any of Doncaster/Tranmere/Swindon if they continue to wobble. I really hope we stay in the play-off race until the last day of the season as Crewe will be a great day out!

I've already got my train tickets booked as we are going on to Manchester to see Kreator that night. Hope I can get tickets for the match or we will be spending the afternoon in a pub in Crewe :(

What a fantastic result. I hope all those people who were slagging Deano off before Christmas and writing some absolutely stupid and often abusive comments will now put their hands up and admit they were completely wrong. We are really lucky to have Deano: he is developing into a very accomplished manager. He has brought some fantastic players to the club, instilled a really attractive style of play - no hoofball here thanks - and he comes across in interviews as level-headed, modest and knowledgeable. Even if we don't win another game this season, we will still have made great progress and we have the foundation for a real good go at promotion next season (if we fall short this year). Well done Deano and the lads, you've made me proud to be a Saddler again. C'mon you Reds.

Bostin' atmosphere today. Not sure whether it was because we were packed in so tightly, because it was Darth's birthday or because people are starting to believe that we might actually do this. Whatever, it is actually extra sexual to be a Saddler at the mo.

fudge brilliant result. The beer will taste good tonight. :D
Not sure who gets the credit for it though as there is no assistant... surely it wasn't down to Smith.

That was no fluke, the only fluke was that we didn't win by more. We played them off the park in the second half. How good is Febian Brandy

That was a great fluke, brings us three points closer to safety. We'd better get another assistant manager quick to guarantee it, as there's only 14 more games to rack em up on our standard losing/drawing streak.

Great game great day on the booze with the saddlers special mention for that disgusting old rosie cider.
Missed the first goal we were all still in the boozer but got in in time to see them equalize bastards!!
Great atmosphere after though even though we got fudge all off the home fans.
Rotate Gyrate all the way to the playoffs.
A random moment was me and Ken Barlow chatting to the guy serving us at the bar who knew Butler from school days and still sees him every now and then he had bloody loads of stories bout our club captain
