Walsall 1-2 Yeovil: We will go a goal up again and ship 2 in the last 10 minutes. Brandy to get our goal and a sub 3000 crowd after saturday's latest catastrophe (2842 - with 250 making the treck from Yeovil).

Gotta admit I don't really care. I'll go and have a few pints and laughs with the lads in the SC. Then get thoroughly bored for the best part of two hours before one or two more beverages afterwards. More and more the football is the worst part of an otherwise enjoyable Saturday afternoon.

For the record, I think we'll lose 2 - 1.

Walsall 3 - 0 Yeovil.

Deano to grab the mic after the third goes in and shouts;

"AHHHHHHH! Knew what I was doing all along!"

Woooo.... can't wait. Another match! COME ON ME BABBIES!!!!

Going down the Wednesbury Road to see the Walsall aces.

Grigg, Chambo, Patto, Taundz and all the lads, wearing the shirt with pride.

The knife edge atmosphere, the swash buckling football and getting us in the mood for a great Christmas.

I hope to God Cuvelier is fit, so we can at least get some points on the board before he disappears in the new year.

I can't call this one, but what I would say is, if Smith keeps this same starting line-up together yet again, we'll get beat and he deserved every morsel of abuse that he gets.

For the record, my team would be:

McCarey

Purkiss
Holden
Downing
Benning

Westcarr
Mantom
Featherstone
Cuvelier
Hemmings

Bowerman

Isn't Purkiss "injured"? I bet he will play Laundry anyway.

I've seen us play Yeovil play us quite a few times and they've rolled us over every time. I'm probably not going so there's one positive.

I just cant see us winning, ill go for the draw.

Injured or not, he couldn't do a worse job than Taundry did at the Ricoh. I'd say that was the worst performance by a pair of fullbacks I've ever seen - the usually steady Taylor was nearly as bad as the local lad.

Agree re your comments on Yeovil too - can't remember the last time we beat them, home or away.

The Welsh contingent saw us win at Yeovil (that's Chestersaddler, SWS1 and yours truly), but it was quite some time ago. Fond memories of a gale force wind blowing into Clayton Ince's face, and his mortification when he kicked the ball upfield (from hands) only to see the wind take it up, backwards, and over his head and goal for a Yeovil corner.

I think we won 1-2, or it might have even been 1-3 - the really significant memory was the quality (and price) of the pasties. £3 but very large and yummy - no chips though.

The recovery starts on Saturday....... 2-0 to the Saddlers.

Who am I kidding?

This, but 4-0 and Deano to be wrested from the mic after calling out block 4.

A promising opening 20 minutes with player x missing a couple of good chances.

Then we are caught on the break and following an aberration by player y we go one down.

A brave fightback after the break with referee z denying a 50/50 penalty appeal.

Yeovil score a second at the death.

Dean Smith concentrates on "the stick on penalty", the opening 20 minutes and the spirit we showed after half-time and concludes that it was the ref's fault, we were unlucky and "if we keep playing like that we will win sooner rather than later".

" We'll have to take this one on the chin, the ref was poor, the pitches are to heavy for our passing game, they scored from set pieces (this clearly shouldn't be allowed) they kept playing the ball in the air, they had a man sent off and it gave them a boost, we are playing well, just getting no luck, I understand the fans frustration, they will have to be patient, etc etc etc etc"

Walsall 0 Yeovil 1.

Fudge off, not even wasting a second of my Birthday pee up to watch this disgrace of a team, even though I have a free ticket. However you managed to do this to me Walsall F.C I don't honestly know.
