No, not for Taundry! But I will be seriously using the threat if it happens Saturday. Although, it has to be impossible that he plays... doesn't it?

An extended run in the side is the only way to rebuild @Taundz' fragile confidence. If he doesn't play how can we sell him to Sheffield United at the end of the season?

Think about what you're saying, who is in charge! Not that it should stop you going though, we are cack with or without Taundry.

This would be my team for Yeovil IMHO it sends out a message to those that didn't perform against Coventry; it also is a bit more solid than playing lots of 'lightweights':

1.) Aaron McCarey

2.) James Chambers
5.) Dean Holden (captain - hopefully his experience can help to nurture Downing - Butler needs to be reminded that he is not indispensable - see Tranmere away)
5.) Paul Downing (who has probably played a lot with Benning and Chambers in the reserves, so paradoxically, this would be a more settled back four)
3.) Malvind Benning

7.) Craig Wescarr
4.) Nicky Featherstone
8.) Sam Mantom
11.) Andy Taylor (LM)

9.) George Bowerman (physically bulked up now and hungry for goals)
10.) Febian Brandy (form player)

Subs:
12.) David Grof (Walker is still too fat, unfortunately)
14.) Ben Purkiss (if fit) - if not, go for James Baxendale as a signal of attacking intent
15.) Ashley Hemmings (bring on for one of the left-backs if we can keep a clean-sheet for the first hour)
16.) Jamie Paterson (a good impact player but not as good as he thinks he is - needs bringing down a peg)
17.) Will Grigg (needs a rest - impact sub)

Taundz dropped for playing like a pub-team player against Coventry.

I would be AMAZED if Smith dropped ANY of Paterson, Taundry or Grigg - they are the 'chosen ones' after all.

Taylor has good delivery and likes to bomb on; Westcarr is supposed to have a good cross on him too. Feed the Bowerman and he will score; Brandy can win us a PK and as long as he doesn't take it (go for Boweman), happy days! Plan B would be Paterson and Grigg - give Bowerman 60 minutes to prove that he should be the first name on the team sheet.

I can't call this one, but what I would say is, if Smith keeps this same starting line-up together yet again, we'll get beat and he deserved every morsel of abuse that he gets.

For the record, my team would be:

McCarey

Purkiss
Holden
Downing
Benning

Westcarr
Mantom
Featherstone
Cuvelier
Hemmings

Bowerman

I agree with a lot of this WFC Rob, but why drop Brandy (he looks quite dangerous as long as he doesn't take a penalty-kick); however, if Smith drops Paterson, Taundz and Grigg, I shall sing 'Different Strokes will rule the world' in Walsall town centre - If Grigg complains about being dropped, I would like Deano to say, 'What you talkin about Wills?' - an old joke, I know, but still mildly amusing :P

Perhaps even bring in Adam Chambers on the bench so that we can revert to a 3 in the middle or if there are injuries/cards. Hemmings hasn't done a lot lately to merit his inclusion in the squad but I would still love to see Paterson have a spell in the stiffs (dream on Rob, Deano would play O'Kelly up front before that ever happens  )

If Jamie Patterson starts the game I will be fuming.

But I'm 99% sure he will.

McCarey

Purkiss
Holden
Downing
Benning

Hemmings
Featherstone
Mantom
Paterson

Baxendale

Brandy

NB: Not going to happen at all mind because @Taundz has a shirt for life. I'd stick with Paterson, I can understand everyone's frustration but he can produce moments of brilliance that other players aren't capable of IMO - he just needs to cut out the immature mistakes.

Will Grigg brings a save from the Yeovil keeper with a shot in the 2nd minute

Elsewhere, Coventry take an early lead at Doncaster.

Playing well. Paterson's goal was a nice one too. Yeovil have a bell. A fudge bell.

Yeovil central defender (Burn) booked on 16 minutes.

Oh, and Chambers and Walker have both scored today........for York City

Edit... Sloppies 1-0 at home to Carlisle, which pushes Pompey into the bottom four.

Further edits: Sloppies now 1-1 with Carlisle, Oldham 0-2 at home to Swindon, and Barrowman scores for Dunfermline!!!

All the reports i've seen have suggested we've had by far the best of the first half. Hope we don't regret not making this pay.

It really is important that we win this now - keep losing two goal leads does nothing for the confidence of the players.

Benning on for Paterson, 86 min.
